The adventure begins with a visit to the Temple of Philae. Since the creation of Lake Nasser following the construction of the Aswan Dam, the temple has been relocated to Agilkia Island, about 5 km south of Aswan. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, universal mother and wife of Osiris, this sanctuary is famous for its magnificent bas-reliefs, columns, and frescoes, making it one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
After the visit, sail toward Herdiab. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Herdiab.

After the visit, return to the ship for lunch as we sail toward Gebel el-Silsila. There you will discover a speos (a temple carved into the rock) dedicated to the god Horemheb and seven other deities, including Sobek, as well as an ancient sandstone quarry that was used in the construction of many temples in Egypt.

Edfou El Kab Esna Luxor
The day begins with a visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, one of the best-preserved... see+ and most impressive temples in Egypt. Construction began in 237 B.C. during the reign of Ptolemy III and was completed nearly 200 years later. The temple, 26 meters high, 137 meters long, and 79 meters wide, remained buried under the sand until its rediscovery in the 19th century by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette.
Its bas-reliefs and detailed inscriptions offer a valuable glimpse into the religion, rituals, and festivals of ancient Egypt, notably the “Beautiful Union,” during which the goddess Hathor traveled from Dendera to join her husband Horus in Edfu.
After the visit, enjoy lunch on board while sailing to El Kab, a city whose origins likely date back to the Neolithic period, surrounded by a mud-brick enclosure dating from 747 to 332 B.C. There, you will discover tombs carved into the mountain, including:
The tomb of Ahmose, containing a unique inscription recounting the conquest of Avaris and the expulsion of the Hyksos
The tomb of Paheri, dating from 1570 BC, depicting scenes of rural life: agriculture, fishing, hunting, and a funeral banquet
