Stralsund Rügen Lauterbach
Morning – Optional excursion: Stralsund
The medieval city of Stralsund was a major commercial... see+ hub of the Hanseatic League in the 14th and 15th centuries. It played a key role in the development of characteristic building types and construction techniques of the region's "Brick Gothic" architecture. Stralsund's town hall is a beautiful example of this distinctive style. You will also discover St. Nicholas Church, St. Jacob's Church, and St. Catherine's Monastery. The old town is entirely protected as a historic zone, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the cultural heritage of the Hanseatic League. Return on board. Sailing towards Lauterbach, which we will reach in the early afternoon.

Afternoon – Optional excursion: the island of Rügen
This Baltic gem offers unparalleled diversity, from cliffs and piers to capes, white sandy beaches, pine forests, and striking architecture. You will see Putbus, nicknamed the "White Town" or "Rosenstadt" due to the rose bushes adorning its historic facades. The Jasmund National Park is particularly famous for its "Stubbenkammer," the chalk and granite cliffs made world-famous by the renowned painting of Caspar David Friedrich. You will then continue to the seaside resort of Binz, where you can stroll along the pier or its long promenade, set slightly back from the square lined with beautiful late-19th-century houses. Return on board. Overnight stop.

Lauterbach Usedom Wolgast Greifswald Wolgast
Early morning sailing to Peenemünde. Optional excursion: the island of Usedom. Hardly anywhere... see+ else can you admire so many different landforms in such a small area: beaches on the Baltic Sea and coasts facing the mainland, lakes and peat bogs, dunes, pine or beech forests and seaside resorts form a mosaic that's astonishing in its diversity. The seaside resorts of Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf are known as the “Kaiserbäder” (emperor's baths), being the favorite vacation spots of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Return on board and continue to Wolgast.
Optional excursion: Greifswald. The historic heart of the city is a jewel of Hanseatic architecture, with its ochre, red, blue and white monuments. It is the only intact Hanseatic city in Germany. It's also a traditional university town, where the Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich was born and studied. You'll see the town's great churches, Little Jacob, Big Mary and the Great Nicholas Cathedral, the town hall and Greifswald's oldest neo-Gothic pharmacy, dating from the 16th century. Return to Wolgast. Lively evening. Overnight stopover.

Wolgast Szczecin
Early morning departure. Morning sailing in the Szczecin lagoon, arriving late morning.
In the... see+ afternoon, optional excursion: Szczecin. For centuries, this has been the crossroads linking Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Southern Europe. You'll discover the courtyard of the Dukes of Pomerania castle, from which you can enjoy a superb view of the city. Badly damaged during the war, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style of the late 16th century. You'll see St. John's Basilica, the former town hall, one of Szczecin's most beautiful buildings and the only vestige of the old town, razed to the ground in 1945. A succession of stylized bourgeois houses, recently built behind the town hall, form a striking contrast with the concrete blocks of the Communist era. Return on board.

Szczecin Schwedt Lehnitz
Morning sailing to Mescherin. Early morning arrival in Mescherin. Optional excursion: the... see+ Cistercian monastery of Chorin. The monastery's impressive building is set in landscaped grounds in the heart of the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve. It is one of the most important historic buildings of early Gothic brick architecture in Brandenburg. Built in 1273 as a monastery for the Margrave of Brandenburg, its forms and ornamentation are reminiscent of the great cathedrals of Cologne, Paris and Siena. In the 19th century, architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel played a key role in the building's preservation.
Return to Schwedt and continue your cruise. In the afternoon, take the Niederfinow boat elevator. Commissioned in 1934, it is the oldest working boat elevator in Germany. It is located at the eastern end of the Oder-Havel canal in Niederfinow, overcoming a difference in elevation of 36 meters. Arrival in Lehnitz at the end of the day. Gala evening.
