After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you to the world of "absolute greatness": the... more+ Giza plateau, symbol of ancient Egypt with its pyramids: Cheops, the largest of the pyramids and the last of the Seven Wonders of the World, Chephren and his Temple of the Holy Sepulchre, the last of the 7 Wonders of the World, Chephren and his pink granite temple and Mykerinos, bordered by the pyramids of the queens, all guarded by the famous Sphinx of Giza, the largest monolith in the world. The visit will include a mastaba with scenes of daily life and the Imhotep Museum, with a panoramic view allowing you to take memorable photos of the three pyramids together. A visit to the Temple of the Valley is scheduled after lunch in the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). This is followed by a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum, which exhibits the treasures of Tutankhamun, in the heart of Cairo, or a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will accompany you to Cairo Airport for your... more+ flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our representative will welcome you. Then, your English-speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle to visit the east bank of Luxor, home to the fabulous Karnak temple complex, the largest religious complex ever built, dedicated to the Theban triad headed by the god Amun-Ra. Its ancient name, Ipet-Isut, means "the most sacred place." Inside the complex, the impressive Hypostyle Hall is a majestic and mysterious forest of 137 giant columns. You will then visit the necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile, starting with the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of many pharaohs of the New Kingdom are located, as well as those of their relatives and favorites. The tour continues with the Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of the temple of Amenhotep III, and Deir el-Bahari, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Carved out of the Theban cliff, this harmonious and modern temple with three terraces is dedicated to the god Amun, but also houses chapels dedicated to Anubis and Hathor, the goddess protector of women. This is hardly surprising, since this temple, dedicated to one of the four female pharaohs who ruled Egypt, is associated with Hatshepsut, considered "the first great woman whose name has been preserved in history."
After the visits, your English-speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle to your dahabieh in Esna for boarding at noon. Lunch will be served on board during the cruise. Enjoy the magnificent scenery as you continue the cruise to El Hegz Island, where the boat will stop for the night. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

After breakfast on board, you will sail to Edfu. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Temple... more+ of Horus further inland. This sanctuary of the falcon god Horus is both the largest temple of the Ptolemy dynasty and the second largest in Egypt after Karnak. Inside, the intact paintings, inscriptions and reliefs make it the best-preserved temple in Egypt. After your visit, you will return to the boat for lunch and continue your cruise to Bassaw Island, where the boat will stop for the night. Enjoy a free stroll around the island and dinner on the shore.

Bassaw Gebel el-Silsila Kom Ombo Aswan
After breakfast on board, you will depart for a visit to Gebel Silsileh, both an archaeological... more+ site and Egypt's largest sandstone quarry. Placed under the protection of the god Hapy, this quarry provided the sandstone for almost all the temples in Upper Egypt. On the west bank of the river is a sanctuary carved into the rock, dedicated to the god Horemheb and seven other deities, including the local god Sobek. Enjoy lunch on board before continuing the cruise to Kom Ombo. Dedicated to two deities, Sobek the crocodile to the south and Horus the falcon to the north, the temple has a perfectly symmetrical architecture. Erected on a hill by three Ptolemies, the Kom Ombo complex is surrounded by an enclosing wall covered in carvings. Return to the boat to continue up the river to Aswan for dinner.

Begun by Pharaoh Nectanebo I during the 30th dynasty and completed by the Romans, it is the main sanctuary dedicated to Isis. After the visits, return to the boat for lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board your cruise.
