Saint-Barthélemy is a French island of the Lesser Antilles and a community overseas (COM) within the meaning of Article 74 of the Constitution on July 15, 2007 Before that date, at which the change in status became effective at the first meeting of the newly elected territorial council, she was a municipality and a district, depending on the overseas department of Guadeloupe.
