Poland (official name: Republic of Poland) is an eastern European country.
Its territory is bounded to the north by Russia and the Baltic Sea, to the east by Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine, to the south by Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and to the west by Germany.
Poland has 21 mountains over 2,000 m. Its highest point is Mount Rysy with 2499 m, located in the Tatra mountain range. And they have one of the five deserts of Europe. The climate is temperate.
The vast majority of tourists come from Germany, the largest neighboring country of Poland. Indeed, the Polish Institute counted 4.52 million arrivals of German tourists in 2010, over a third of 12,470,000 total. The countries of Europe and the European Union therefore logically appear in the first places. 2010 saw an increase in the total number of 4.9%. From tourists EU27 is relatively stable, while the Russians were up 25% and 12% of Americans.
