Have you always dreamed of taking to the open sea and discovering the most beautiful anchorages on a luxury boat? However, you have no nautical experience, renting a whole boat with a skipper seems too expensive, and you don't want to be put on a liner with 2 000 tourists. So what you need, without a doubt, is to book a cabin cruise on a sailing boat or catamaran for an exceptional sailing experience.
Discover our many destinations: Seychelles, Caribbean, Greece, Croatia or simply the South of France. Cabin cruising is a new trend with many advantages: a reasonable budget, no need to organise anything, all inclusive, on a magnificent sailing boat... We'll tell you more about it!
What is a cabin cruise?
Cabin cruising is a way of going sailing that has been developing since the 2000s, making holidays on the water accessible. The concept? Go on a cruise by booking a cabin with its own bathroom on a sailing boat or catamaran of 15 to 20 metres. Very luxurious, convivial but in restricted groups: no more than 15 people on board, counting a professional crew of 2 or 3 people who will take care of everything, for the greatest comfort of the "guests"! At your service:
- A skipper, responsible for the boat and the navigation. A true expert of the region, he will suggest an optimal itinerary to help you discover the best spots.
- a hostess who will be at your service, taking care of the supplies and keeping the boat clean during the whole cruise.
- a chef who will prepare delicious dishes and culinary specialities for you every day.
The opportunity to explore new horizons and share moments with new people, far from the mass tourism and cruise ships we all know.
Our cabin cruises will amaze you and give you a dream holiday in turquoise waters, and why not make new friendships with other crew members. Departures are guaranteed, so sandy beaches and cocktails on the deck of the boat are yours!
The cabin cruise: an all-inclusive service?
Renting a cabin cruise guarantees you an all-inclusive catamaran holiday the second you step on board. The crew members will take care of you and your well-being will be their priority. Leave with a clear mind and let yourself be pampered during an unforgettable cruise.
This includes:
- breakfast
- sheets and towels
- scuba diving accessories
- kayaks and paddle
This doesn't include:
- flights and transfers
- crew fund
- additional excursions
FULL PENSION
All our cabin cruises are full pension. No need to think about shopping and meals, a chef will be on board to prepare delicious dishes for all your meals. The opportunity to taste local specialities, and why not try a fish caught in the morning. What a luxury! Don't hesitate to inform the chef before your departure of any allergies or intolerances so that the menu suits you.
WATER SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Bed linen and towels will be provided in your cabins, and beach towels will also be available. Masks, snorkels and palms will be available on the boat for young and old to try their skills at snorkelling and observing the underwater life. On some cruises, sea kayaks and paddles can be found on board. Go on an adventure and sail to places that are inaccessible from your yacht, such as remote coves.
The crew fund
However, as with all cruises, the crew fund is an additional charge to the price of the cruise and is compulsory for all passengers. You will pay it directly to the captain when you arrive on the boat. This is a common pot of money which is used to cover the various taxes and mooring fees, specific to each destination. The amount varies according to the cruise and cabin you choose. Don't worry, it will be mentioned at the time of booking so that you don't have any unpleasant surprises when you embark.
EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES
During your cruise, you will alternate between nautical activities, visits on land and lounging on the boat. Although the itinerary is established before departure, you will still have the possibility to make additional excursions to those already planned. Personalise your cruise and create a tailor-made programme with one of our advisors.
- hiking
- snorkelling
- cultural visits
The cabin cruise: meeting and sharing
If there aren't enough of you to hire a private boat or if it's just too expensive, our cabin cruise package is the right solution for you! We take care of finding the other participants who will join you on this exceptional cruise. Come on board alone or as a couple, and enjoy a crewed cruise and the comfort of a boat for the price of a cabin.
Unlike large cruise ships, you will be in a small group on your sailboat or catamaran and the price is often cheaper. Cabin cruising is different from a normal cruise with friends as the navigation, itinerary and chores are done by the crew for your comfort.
Some of you may be reluctant to go on holiday with strangers... However, this is an opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and nationalities, who have also come alone or in pairs. You will be with people who are in the same state of mind as you: to meet new people.
Although the common areas are shared with the rest of the crew and passengers, you have your privacy in your cabin and its private bathroom. Every evening, during dinner, take part in moments of sharing and exchange with them. A friendly and relaxed atmosphere is guaranteed!
If this may seem intimidating at first, tell yourself that you already have something in common with them: a taste for sailing and the pleasure of navigation. It's up to you to discover the other participants!
Cabin cruises: who are they for?
This formula is ideal for couples, tandems of friends or even small groups who can rent several cabins on the same boat. It is less attractive financially for singles, but they are welcome.
The cabin cruise is open to everyone. You don't need to be a specialist to go! If you are looking for a new way to travel, while cruising the seas, don't wait any longer and book your cabin cruise. It's the perfect way to discover the charms of cruising without worrying about the itinerary, manoeuvres or meals.
This style of travel is not just for novices, quite the opposite. Are you an experienced sailor who wants to spend a week sailing without having to manage everything on board? The crew will be at your service, you just have to enjoy yourself, like everyone else!
Please note that you will be with strangers on board. If you are not comfortable with this, this travel option will not suit you and you may not get the most out of your experience.
As you can see, you are meant to go on a cabin cruise if you are:
- sociable and friendly
- outgoing and open-minded
- adventurous and curious
You don't have to be a billionaire or a group of 10 millionaires to make your dream come true and go on a cruise! Our advisors will be happy to guide you, answer your questions, and accompany you until the day of your departure.
More exciting than a hotel and less restrictive than chartering a whole boat, it is the ideal compromise for an all-inclusive catamaran cruise.
