Itinerary

Aswan Herdiab Kom Ombo Maniha Beshir
Pick up from your hotel in Aswan or Aswan Airport. We will start our tour in Aswan, beginning with... more+ the great and magnificent ancient Temple of Philae. The Temple of Philae, located on the island of Agilka, is one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in Egypt. It was moved entirely from its original location to its current location on higher ground to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, following the construction of the Aswan High Dam, which was completed in 1977.
On our way back to our home Dahabeya, we have the opportunity to stop by the Aswan Souq (market), where we can practice our bargaining skills, visit the spice market, and enjoy the famous sugarcane juice.
Transfer to embark the Dahabeya. Lunch will be served on board. We will then set sail on our voyage, heading to Esna and continuing towards Kom Ombo. As we sail along the Nile, listen to the sounds of water buffalo wading in the shallow waters along the banks, donkeys going about their daily activities, and the various birdlife of the river. We will continue sailing towards Aswan, passing by Herdiab Island.
We will arrive at the Temple of Kom Ombo, where your guide will take you to see this remarkable temple. It is one of the most unique and intriguing ancient temples because it was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek and Horus. To accommodate this, the builders constructed two of everything, resulting in a complex that is essentially two temples in one.
We will then tie up at Basheir Island for the night.

Gebel el-Silsila Bassaw El Ramady Beshir Sarag Island Fawaza Island
Enjoy breakfast aboard the Dahabeya. We set off on a relaxing journey to the Temple of Gebel el... more+ Silsila, another of our less frequented destinations. After visiting the temple, lunch will be served on board. We will continue sailing until we reach the small island village of Bassaw, a community of 500 inhabitants who cultivate their own food, such as mangoes, bananas, and dates, and fish for a living. They are notably isolated from the surrounding areas, and Bassaw seems frozen in time.
Visit Bassaw Village. Upon arrival at a farmer’s property, we will be welcomed into their home, where we will have the opportunity to ask any questions, especially regarding education for girls living on the island. (There may even be a chance to bake our local sun bread for dinner.)
We will continue sailing until we reach another island, either Sarag or Fawza, to enjoy dinner on the island, where the crew will present an Egyptian night of fun with folkloric performances.
