Ushuaia Cape Horn
This is the start of the real adventure. We cross the Beagle Channel and sail towards the... more+ southernmost point of South America, Cape Horn. The rocky walls of the channel plunge sheer into the icy blue waters of this wild and isolated region. You may be lucky enough to spot Peale's dolphins, a rare and endemic species, as well as other wildlife. Cape Horn is where the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific collide, creating powerful waves. The mere prospect of rounding Cape Horn used to strike terror into the hearts of even the most seasoned sailors. However, thanks to our modern instruments, we will try to land there and explore if conditions allow.
