Activities

You'll meet your guide, board your coach and drive through the incredible landscapes of El Hierro.
You'll first drive south to the Mirador de Isora viewpoint, situated 1,050 meters above sea level. From here, you can admire the impressive cliffs falling into... more+ the Atlantic Ocean along a 9-kilometer-long amphitheater.
You'll then continue through one of the longest tunnels in the Canaries to reach the superb “Guinea” eco-museum. As well as old farmhouses typically furnished as in the last century, you'll see a rehabilitation center for the giant lizard of El Hierro. This is the best place to learn more about this endemic species of giant lizard, which was rediscovered in 1975. The giant lizard is threatened with extinction and is one of the island's symbols.
Finally, you'll board your coach for the spectacular viewpoint from the “Mirador de la Peña”, a visionary building designed by the famous Canarian architect César Manrique. Enjoy an exceptional view of the Gulf valley, with its countless greenhouses protecting banana trees from the strong winds.
In a local restaurant, you'll sample a variety of local specialties while admiring the magnificent scenery.
Finally, you'll return to the dock and your ship.
This tour involves about 2 km of moderate walking on uneven ground, with a few steps up to Mirador La Peña and the eco-museum. We advise you to wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sun cream and sunglasses.
Pre-bookings can be made with your sales consultant approximately 2 months before departure and up to 7 days before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

included
Dive into the lush nature of northern La Palma for a unique experience at the heart of the verdant forest and admire the natural pools.

The Canary Island of Santa Cruz de La Palma invites you to admire, contemplate, and marvel. On this unique excursion,... more+ set off to explore the lush nature of the island’s north from several viewpoints. From San Bartolo, a scenic viewpoint in the picturesque town of La Galga, take in the breathtaking green landscapes stretching before you. A paradise for nature lovers, you will cross mountain roads to reach Los Tilos, a natural sanctuary listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home to an exceptional biodiversity: vast laurel forests, holly, strawberry trees, orange blossoms, and bellflowers.

As a volcanic island, Santa Cruz de La Palma is full of geological treasures formed centuries ago by lava flows. Among them is Charco Azul, a natural pool with crystal-clear waters, where you will have time to relax by the Atlantic Ocean. The clear waters and lush vegetation create a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for unwinding.

On the way to a charming rum distillery, you will pass through vast banana plantations, a key part of the local economy. During the distillery visit, you will learn more about this alcohol, made from a variety of sugarcane introduced to the island in the 15th century.

This excursion includes approximately 1.5 km of walking on uneven and sloped terrain, with some steps to negotiate. We recommend comfortable walking shoes and sun protection.

Pre-bookings open with your travel advisor approximately 2 months before departure and until 7 days before the cruise begins, subject to availability.
