On the same day, your guide will tell you which tombs are open and which are the most interesting to visit. Lunch on board and a walking tour of the ancient quarry before continuing the cruise to Kom Ombo. Dedicated to two deities—Sobek the crocodile in the south and Horus the falcon in the north—the temple has a perfectly symmetrical architecture. El Ramady Esna Luxor Esna
Breakfast on board. Our English-speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle... more+ from Esna to Luxor. You will visit the east bank, with the temples of Karnak and Luxor (this visit may take place on day 7 depending on your arrival flight schedule). Discover the "bank of the living" through these two elegant and grandiose temples. The Luxor Temple, dedicated to the triad of Theban deities—Amon, Mut, and Khonsu—was connected to the Karnak Temple by a 2.5-kilometer avenue lined with more than 700 sphinxes crossing the city. The two ends remain, as well as a section that has been restored in the modern city center. The Karnak Temple enjoyed its golden age during the New Kingdom. The pharaohs expressed their devotion to the main god by bringing important riches from the territories under Egyptian influence. They contributed to the embellishment of Karnak, which became the largest religious complex of the ancient world. After the visits, return to your dahabiya. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Esna.
