Lunch is served on board, freshly prepared and enjoyed as the sails are hoisted and the Nile begins to glide by in serene silence. The sandal sails for about 4 to 5 hours to El Hegz Island, offering uninterrupted views of palm-lined banks, fishermen at work, and timeless rural landscapes. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the village of El Hegz, where you will meet a local family and get an authentic glimpse of daily life along the Nile, an intimate and enriching encounter far from conventional tourist itineraries. Return to the sandal at sunset for dinner on board, followed by a peaceful night moored in this tranquil setting under a starry sky.

Wake up gently and enjoy breakfast served on board as the boat resumes its journey down the Nile,... more+ rocked by the wind and the lapping of the water. Arrival at El Kab, a major religious center in ancient Pharaonic Egypt. You will discover the rock tombs carved into the cliff face and the ruins of temples, silent witnesses to one of the oldest cities in the country, in a majestic desert setting. The boat then continues on to Edfu. Lunch on board, prepared by the chef, to be enjoyed while admiring the changing landscapes of the Nile banks. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved sanctuaries in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Its monumental architecture and remarkably fine reliefs offer a fascinating immersion into the grandeur of the Ptolemaic era. At the end of the day, return on board and continue sailing. You will meet its inhabitants and discover a simple and authentic way of life, punctuated by the river and ancestral traditions. Accompanied by local fishermen, you will take a walk along the banks and, depending on the season, learn how to fish traditionally on the Nile, a special and sincere moment of sharing. The cruise then continues, offering peaceful views of palm groves and Nubian villages. Arrival at Gebel Silsileh, a spectacular site that was the largest sandstone quarry in ancient Egypt. You will explore the rock sanctuaries and engraved walls, evidence of the colossal work of the builders of the pharaonic temples. At the end of the day, return on board for a sunset cruise.
