Between sea and river, you'll crisscross this peninsula where vineyards rise between polders to the east and pine forests to the west. Châteaux dot the landscape, revealing the famous Grands Crus appellations. A wine tasting session is a must.
Return on board and sail along the Gironde to the estuary. We'll sail past the marshes, Meschers-sur-Gironde with its sheer cliffs, troglodyte houses and fishermen's huts, before reaching Royan in the afternoon.
Authentic excursion/experience: Royan, guided walking tour. Accompanied by your guide, discover this seaside town on the Atlantic coast, renowned for its Belle Epoque architecture and unique atmosphere. The many old villas, lush gardens, picturesque boutiques and harbour are all part of the town's charm. The impressive Notre-Dame church, rebuilt in a modern style, stands out for its clean lines and brightness. Free time. Return on board. Evening of dancing.

Created in the 17th century by Colbert at the request of Louis XIV to reign supreme on land and sea, Rochefort owes its prosperity to the kingdom's finest arsenal, nestled in a meander of the Charente River. The historic center, with its many townhouses and mansions once home to great navigators and explorers, still exudes a sense of adventure and exoticism. Visit the Corderie Royale, symbol of the Arsenal maritime. It was in Europe's longest-running 17th-century factory that the ropes for the king's ships and the navy were made. Here, you'll discover the history of this magnificent building steeped in history, as well as the rope-making techniques used to equip sailing ships. Continuation to La Rochelle. Lunch in a restaurant. Capital of Charente Maritime, this thousand-year-old city nestled in the heart of the Atlantic coast boasts an exceptional natural and architectural heritage.
On a guided tour of the old town and port, you'll discover the Grosse-Horloge gateway, arcaded streets, beautiful half-timbered houses, mansions with sculpted facades and the cathedral.
Free time. Return on board and set sail. We'll take the Dordogne to Libourne, which we'll reach in the evening.

This unusual medieval... more+ town, nestled in a setting of vineyards, has retained all the charm of its origins: stones with golden reflections, Romanesque tiled roofs, maze of alleyways with a breathtaking view of the surrounding vineyards. Enjoy a wine tasting at one of the wineries. Return to Libourne.
- Experience: Libourne by bike and wine tasting. Guided tour of Libourne, a former English royal bastide. At the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, the town grew up around its port. See the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, Place Abel Surchamp and the tower of the grand port. You'll then take your bikes to discover a Pomerol appellation winery. Wine tasting.
Return on board and sail to Bordeaux. We'll sail past the village of Bourg before reaching the bec d'Ambès at the confluence of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers. We continue sailing on the Garonne to Bordeaux, which we reach in the late afternoon.

- Authentic: guided tour of Château de Roquetaillade and wine tasting. It has been the setting for many films, including "Pacte des Loups" and "Fanfan la Tulipe". You'll discover the dungeons of this magnificent and prestigious medieval château, the first Renaissance fireplaces in the region (1600), and the unique 19th-century interiors, masterpieces in France by Viollet-le-Duc. Then off to a Sauternes wine estate for a Sauternes wine tasting. Return to Cadillac for a guided tour of the town. Located on the right bank of the Garonne, this bastide was founded by the Grailly family, lords of Cadillac. You'll discover the town's gates and ramparts, arcaded central square, old houses and 15th-century church.
- Experience: gourmet walk in Cadillac and wine tasting. Departure for the hillsides of Cadillac. You'll stroll through the town, past the bastide townhouse and along the vineyard paths, where you'll enjoy beautiful views of the Garonne River. The walk ends on a gustatory note, with a tasting of wines and succulent local specialties.

You'll see the Île aux oiseaux, the cabanes tchanquées and the oyster beds. Free time in Arcachon. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to the Dune du Pilat, Europe's highest dune at 107m. Return to Bordeaux at the end of the day.

Departure by coach to discover the Médoc, prestigious wine-growing region. A corner of the world that produces the most prestigious red wines on the planet, tightly wedged between an ocean and an estuary. A mild, humid microclimate which has been... more+ favorable to the development of the vines. We will go through most of the Médoc appellations (Saint Julien, Margaux, Haut-Médoc). On the famous Châteaux Route, we will stop to taste the famous wines of the region. On the way you will see major domains such as Châteaux Laffitte-Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild. We’ll leave by coach for Rochefort. Rochefort was originally chosen by Jean-Baptiste Colbert as a refuge, defense, and supply post for the French navy back in the mid-1660s. Its arsenal remained a naval base and dockyard until as late as 1926. The... more+ historical downtown area boasts lovely private mansions and beautiful homes where the legendary sailors and explorers lived and which still retain their air of adventure and glamor. We’ll then visit the Corderie Royale, a historical rope-making factory. Built between 1666 and 1669, it was the first industrial building in France, and the factory provided ropes for the French Navy and its ships for over three centuries. We’ll tour the main building and learn about the techniques used to produce the ropes used on the large sailing ships. Afterwards, we’ll head to La Rochelle. We’ll stop for lunch in a local restaurant. The over 1,000-year-old city of La Rochelle is the capital of the Charente Maritime. It’s tucked along the Bay of Biscay and contains some of the most beautiful natural and architectural heritage in the area. During a guided tour of the old town and port, you’ll learn about the Grosse-Horloge gate, the Renaissance arcades, the lovely half-timbered homes, finely sculpted facades of the private mansions, and the cathedral.
