Spitsbergen, between sea and ice: a journey to the heart of the Arctic and the wild worlds of the Far North

By Marie Le Saint expert of your cruises Do you dream of Spitsbergen as an extreme territory where nature reigns supreme? Then this cruise is for you. It takes you to the north of the archipelago, where ice meets fjords and polar bears watch their reflections on the ice floes. An intense adventure amid powerful landscapes and fascinating wildlife.
A world of ice and silence Here, the scenery changes every moment: steep cliffs populated by birds, blue glaciers cracking under the midnight sun, stretches of ice floes as far as the eye can see. You will sail between the most spectacular areas of Spitsbergen: Raudfjord, Hinlopen, Alkefjellet and the legendary "Seven Islands," sometimes as far north as the 80th parallel.
Unforgettable encounters Polar bears on the ice, walruses basking on the banks, seals and Arctic reindeer lying in wait. Not to mention the ballet of seabirds—fulmars, guillemots, black-legged kittiwakes—nesting in vertiginous colonies. The emotion is raw and immediate.
A true expedition, without compromise Every day, Zodiac outings allow you to explore fjords, cliffs and the edge of the ice floes up close. On board, the guides share their passion for the Arctic through observations and lectures. The program adapts to ice conditions to keep the spirit of exploration intact.

The waters in front of this precipitous glacier are a favorite feeding spot for thousands of kittiwakes, and the base of the ice is a popular polar bear hunting ground.
