This Romanesque fortress church, remodeled in the 17th and 18th centuries, is one of the city's oldest monuments. Nearby, the railway station houses more than 20,000 tiles depicting the history of Portugal. Next, a visit to the Palais de la Bourse, located in the heart of the historic center and listed as a National Monument. Construction of this neo-classical building began in 1842 on the ruins of the Franciscan convent, which had been destroyed by fire. The palace boasts some remarkable rooms, the most impressive of which is undoubtedly the Moorish Salon, inspired by the Alhambra. The city tour ends with a wine tasting at one of Vila Nova de Gaia's wine cellars. After dinner, enjoy an evening of Fado on board.
