You'll embark in Glasgow (Greenock), where the ship will be waiting at the port. Specifically designed for more intimate explorations, this is one of our smaller ships. Take time to explore the vessel before meeting the expedition team, your guides for the adventure ahead. Then, it’s time to enjoy your first dinner on board as we set sail.

Heimaey is the only inhabited island in the Vestmann Islands, located off Iceland’s south coast.... more+ It has a fascinating history and still bears the scars of a powerful volcanic eruption that nearly destroyed the island.

Visit Eldheimar, a museum showcasing a house unearthed during excavation, now frozen in time, and learn more about the eruption and its aftermath. Or go hiking in search of puffins at Stórhöfði, where nearly eight million birds nest each summer. Don’t miss the climb up Eldfell volcano, where you’ll be rewarded with an incredible view of the town below.

Close by is the Snæfellsnes Peninsula National Park, renowned for its diverse landscapes and the glacial volcano Snæfellsjökull at its western tip. Nicknamed "Little Iceland," this region offers a glimpse into unique panoramas.

Visitors can explore the black sand beach of Djúpalónssandur, admire the Saxhóll crater, or venture by snowmobile to the glacier's summit. The more adventurous can discover an impressive lava tunnel on a guided underground tour.

At sea - Iceland Jan Mayen
Jan Mayen has no permanent residents, and visitors are rare. We are among the few ships attempting... more+ a landing on the island. If conditions allow, you’ll set foot on one of the most remote places on Earth.

The surreal landscape of Jan Mayen, covered in moss and lichen, is dominated by the volcanic cone of Beerenberg, the northernmost active volcano in the world, which last erupted in 1985.

Although the island hosts no terrestrial mammals, it is designated as an Important Bird Area, home to abundant populations of northern fulmars, Brünnich’s guillemots, and little auks. Look out for the rich marine life in the surrounding waters, including whales and seals.

Heimaey is one of the Vestmann Islands, an archipelago rich in history and natural beauty. During a guided walk, you will visit Skansinn, a replica of a fort built on the orders of a Danish king. Admire the wooden church and Landlyst, one of Heimaey’s... more+ oldest buildings, then discover the lava formed during the Eldfell volcanic eruption. Finally, visit the Sagnheimar Folklore Museum in the town center.

Join a coastal discovery of Heimaey on a guided boat excursion during which you will visit two sea caves with incredible acoustics. The sea is a wildlife paradise where seals, porpoises, and dolphins play in the summer. You may also spot orcas and other... more+ cetaceans. During this excursion, you will learn how the eruption of the Eldfell volcano irrevocably transformed the coast in 1973.

Enjoy a scenic drive to cliffs home to a rich birdlife, including puffins, fulmars, and guillemots.
