Victoria (sometimes called Port Victoria) is a city on the northeast coast of the island of Mahe, the main island of the archipelago; served by Seychelles International Airport (completed in 1971), it is the capital of Seychelles and the largest population base in the archipelago of the same name. Its population is 24,701 people, more than a third of the total population of the island.
The main exports of Victoria are vanilla, coconut, coconut oil, and turtle shell, soap, and guano.
