  • S/Y NORTH STAR is crewed by a skipper and a hostess/cook. The skipper handles navigation and safety, while the hostess prepares breakfast and lunch, cleans common areas, refreshes cabins and bathrooms daily, and assists with sailing maneuvers. The fee includes 24% VAT. Provisions for crew must include an allowance of up to €30/day/crew for meals. Payment receipts to be provided by the crew. If the crew joins guests for meals ashore, the allowance does not apply.
    Crew gratuities are not included in the rate.

  • The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is the standard system for covering expenses in addition to the cost of rental and crew. The APA generally covers: fuel, shipping costs, meals and beverages, and communications.

  • APA is a deposit which is used to cover all costs not included in the charter price (e.g. fuel, food, beverages, dockage, communication). Any APA that has not been used will be returned at the end of the charter. If expenses exceed the initial APA deposit, the difference will be charged additionally.
