Itinerary
Buenos Aires
To the Rhythm of Buenos Aires
A night in Buenos Aires is the perfect way to start your trip to... more+ Antarctica. Just like its proud and diverse community of porteños (or “people of the ports”), the city is a sensual blend of old-world European splendor and Latin American flair. There’s plenty to do, from the many parrillas serving authentic Argentine steaks to tango lessons.

Buenos Aires Ushuaia
Ushuaia, Capital of Tierra del Fuego
The morning begins with an early flight to Ushuaia, the... more+ capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. This port city, nestled in the magnificent Andes mountain range, claims the title of the world’s southernmost city. It is from here that many adventures to Antarctica set out, including ours.
We welcome you aboard your hybrid-powered expedition ship (specially designed for sustainable cruising in polar waters), and after a briefing from the expedition team, all that’s left is to settle into your cabin and explore our comfortable facilities. Your adventure begins!

Our passionate experts will share with you the history of Antarctica, the science that comes to life underwater, and the serious consequences of the current environmental crisis. Learn how to make your visit as safe and eco-friendly as possible, and discover the citizen science projects conducted on board that you can join to help protect the environment.

Drake Passage Antarctic Peninsula
Expedition to the Wonders of the Antarctic Peninsula

Nothing can prepare you for such a... more+ spectacle. Let yourself be enveloped by the silence and serenity as we sail through deep blue waters, past glaciers and icebergs as large as cathedrals. Every moment spent in Antarctica will be a source of wonder.

Large groups of penguins huddle on the ice floes, safe from the attacks of leopard seals, and majestic migrating whales glide alongside pristine icebergs in search of krill swarms. In the sky, watch the ballet of no fewer than 45 species of seabirds, including skuas, cormorants, petrels, and terns.

Here, nature reigns supreme, and we are mere observers. Our captain constantly monitors weather conditions to offer you the best possible itinerary. These action-packed days are dedicated to exploring various landing sites. You won’t have a chance to get bored.

Where most Antarctic trips end, yours is just getting started, taking you to less-explored areas. After all, this is an expedition cruise! We’ll be able to adapt our itinerary based on ice and sea conditions, and we’ll strive to spend at least one day—or even several—in each of the iconic regions.

Antarctic Strait At sea - Weddell
The Weddell Sea
The Weddell Sea, which is navigable only by the most advanced, ice-strengthened... more+ vessels, offers a deep connection to the history of Antarctic exploration. It was in this region that, in 1925, Ernest Shackleton’s ship, the Endurance, was crushed by sea ice, triggering his legendary survival journey. Visitors to this wild and beautiful environment gain a vivid sense of Shackleton’s extraordinary feats. Here, you may see emperor penguins migrating to or from the nearby colony on Snow Hill Island.

At sea - Weddell Gerlache Strait
Gerlache Strait
This highlight of Antarctic exploration features sheltered waterways, ideal for... more+ getting up close to some of the continent’s most iconic sites. It was in this region that Roald Amundsen and his crew sailed in 1898 aboard the Belgica before becoming among the first to overwinter in Antarctica. Frequented by humpback whales and other cetaceans, the strait captivates travelers with its breathtaking views of snow-capped alpine landscapes.

Gerlache Strait Lemaire Canal
Penola Strait (south of the Lemaire Channel)
The Penola Strait, accessible via the French... more+ Channel, reveals a fascinating maze of penguin-populated islands, framed by the impressive ice-capped peaks of the mainland. This remote area, rarely visited by traditional cruises, teems with wildlife and invites you on a boundless adventure. The ever-present pack ice enhances its beauty and attracts typical wildlife, from seals to seabirds. If ice and sea conditions permit, the expedition team may opt for the breathtaking Lemaire Channel instead of the Penola Strait. The former is often considered the most picturesque channel in the world, and rightly so.
Back on board, the expedition team will continue its lectures, enlightening and entertaining you with explanations of the wonders of the frozen continent.
