Full board on board. Wake up in Dürnstein, a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau... more+ Valley, dominated by a medieval castle. From the pier, you can walk directly to the historic center through the medieval gates to Pranger Square.
You can admire the castle ruins, famous for having been the supposed place of Richard the Lionheart’s captivity. Take the opportunity to taste the typical wines of the Wachau region.
At noon, departure from Dürnstein to enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the valley. In the early afternoon, stop in Melk, a small town known for its famous Benedictine abbey perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the river (optional tour).
