In the morning, excursion included: guided tour of Vienna. Discover the famous "Ring" boulevard,... more+ one of the most beautiful boulevards in the world, created over 150 years ago. You'll see magnificent 19th-century monuments such as the opera house, the Museum of Fine Arts, palaces and the Votive Church, all of which give Vienna its unique atmosphere.

In the afternoon, excursion included: an authentic and unusual tour of Vienna. You'll visit the backstage area of the Konzerthaus, the famous music hall that houses the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Then enjoy a Viennese coffee and pastry.

Budapest Bratislava
Morning excursion includes guided tour of Budapest. Budapest reveals its splendor around the... more+ Danube. The architecture designed by man century after century has given rise to Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings. Take a panoramic tour between the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest. You'll then walk along the river and admire the Parliament overlooking the Danube.

In the afternoon, excursion included: visit to the Great Covered Market. Depart on foot for Budapest's covered market. With its gleaming Zsolnay tile roof, Budapest's Grand Central Market is the largest hall built in the 19th century. You'll discover an incredible array of products, including the famous paprika garlands. Your visit ends with a tasting of local specialities. Return to the boat on foot.

Morning sailing. You'll pass the Gabcíkovo dam, one of the largest on the Danube. You'll sail... more+ along the protected Dunajské luhy landscape park, a marshland that is a crucial environment for rare bird species, one of the most important nesting areas and an exceptional ornithological territory stretching right up to the gates of Bratislava.

Afternoon excursion included: Bratislava. Situated at the foot of the Little Carpathians, Bratislava radiates out from its wooded and rocky surroundings. Its castle, the city's emblem, stands on a hill above the Danube. From its forecourt, you can enjoy a unique view of the city and the river. The medieval old town is not to be outdone, with its maze of winding streets, squares, fountains and cafés. Bratislava is also known for its intense cultural and nightlife scene.

Guided tour of Vienna
Meet up with the guides for a guided walking tour of Vienne, during which you will discover this Roman city rich in vestiges. The history of Vienna goes back more than 2000 years. The city is indivisible from the Rhône river and the surrounding hills. The... more+ Allobrogi people are thought to have made it their capital, but it was in the Roman era that the city began to prosper on both banks. You will see the Antique Theatre; built roughly between 40 and 50 AD, it is considered one of the largest in the Roman empire, with its 130m diameter and 13,000 spectators capacity. Restored in 1938, it was returned to its original function and is now a venue for artistic events. The tour will continue with the Temple of Augustus and Livia (exterior only). This temple dedicated to Rome and Augustus stood in a sacred area on the forum and has carried this name since the end of the 18th century. Its construction began about 20-10 BC; it was later transformed at the beginning of the Middle Ages into a church, and was finally restored in the second half of the 19th century thanks to the intervention of Prosper Mérimée. Finally, to complete the tour, you will see the Cathedral of St Maurice (exterior only), which has been listed as a historic monument since 1840. Return to the boat on foot.  PLEASE NOTE The order of the visits can change. Times are approximate. Good walking shoes are recommended.

Guided tour of Bratislava
Bratislava, before becoming the capital of independent Slovakia in 1993, was first of all the capital of Hungary from 1536 to 1784 under the name of Presburg. It then belonged to Czechoslovakia before becoming the capital of the "Slovak Socialist... more+ Republic" as part of Czechoslovakia between 1969 and 1992. With your guides, you will begin the visit with a panoramic tour of the city which will take you to Bratislava Castle, which dates from 1811, after the previous castle burned down, and from where you will enjoy a breathtaking view over the Danube and the city. The main historical monuments are in the Old Town and the coach will drop you off at the entrance to the Old Town to continue the visit on foot. You will enter the city through Michael's Gate, which is the only gate still surviving from the Middle Ages. Then you will head for the central square surrounded by elegant buildings, some in Art Nouveau style, and dominated by the old Bratislava Town Hall. The tour will continue with the Primate's Palace completed in 1781 for Archbishop Jozef Bathyány. As you stroll through the streets, you may come across some of the amusing statues that are dotted around the capital. In the programs MVI/MVI_PP/NVI/NVI_PP : After the guided tour, you will have some free time to enjoy the Christmas market located in the Main Square in front of the City Hall. We will return to the boat on foot or by coach depending on sailing times. PLEASE NOTE The order of the visits can change. Times are approximate. Good walking shoes are recommended.
