Harsova: boat trip to the upper Danube Delta
At almost 3,000 km long, the Danube is Europe's second-largest river. It winds its way through ten countries, constantly changing its character. At times, it is so wide and shallow that it seems to stand still; at others, it branches off into ever smaller... more+ estuaries. The vast Danube Delta, where the Danube flows into the Black Sea, is particularly home to many different aquatic creatures, birds, and plants, and the flora and fauna found there make it an unforgettable experience.
It is a unique ecosystem and Europe's only wetland. It is home to over 4,000 animal and over 1,000 plant species.
From Harsova, you will be taken to Tulcea, where you will board the boats and begin a boat ride lasting approximately 3.5 hours.
