Day in Marrakech (lunch included – travel time ~3h30 each way). An... more+ imperial city and the capital of the South, Marrakech is a pearl polished by history. Dominated by the minaret of the iconic Koutoubia, the city teems with an unparalleled vibrancy. As you wander through Jemaa El-Fna square and the souks, you will be enchanted by the scents and colors, promising a true escape. You will have lunch in a medina restaurant, where you will taste traditional Moroccan cuisine. You will visit the Bahia Palace, an Arab-Moorish masterpiece. At the time of its construction, it was the most sumptuous and largest palace in Morocco. A splendid blend of stone and greenery, its gardens are charming, lined with rosemary, orange trees, grapefruit trees, and various flowers—a small paradise of freshness. Inside the palace, you will discover an immense space decorated with zellige tiles, wooden beams painted with floral, vegetal, and geometric motifs. Then, you will explore the Majorelle Gardens, one of Morocco’s most enchanting and mystical gardens. Enclosed by walls, they consist of a labyrinth of intersecting alleys, intertwining levels, and Moorish Art Deco buildings with bold colors. The gardens are a lush accumulation of exotic plants and trees from distant lands, conceived as both a sanctuary and a laboratory by the French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1922. In 1980, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought the gardens to save them from a hotel complex project that threatened their destruction.

Day in Southern Morocco towards Taroudant and Tiout (lunch included – travel time ~2h30 each way). You will set off to discover authentic Morocco by traveling through the Anti-Atlas. In the heart of the Souss Valley, between the High Atlas and the Anti-Atlas, the ramparts of Taroudant rise, enclosing one of Morocco’s most beautiful treasures. Through gardens and patios, you will discover one of the most beautiful cities in southern Morocco. Flourishing thanks to the precious trade of indigo, sugar, and cotton, the city aroused the desires of many invaders. In a setting of discreet charm, the medina seems from another time. As you stroll through the city's souks, you will uncover small treasures hidden in delightful shops: silver jewelry and objects, local crafts, herbal remedies, olives, and honey. A tour of the ramparts will allow you to admire the nine city gates. The oldest, Bâb El Kasbah, offers a beautiful view of the Pasha's kasbah and the gardens of Taroudant.
Continuing towards Tiout, you will enjoy a traditional lunch at the Kasbah de Tiout (the Kasbah does not serve alcohol). Then, take a leisurely walk through the Tiout palm grove, a true maze of colors at the foot of the kasbah. Nicknamed the "Garden of Delights," you will admire a beautiful orchard where orange trees, date palms, pomegranate trees, and carob trees grow. During the visit, you will stop at an argan cooperative to discover the culinary and cosmetic virtues of this oil.
