You will head to the Old Town Square with its pretty... more+ arcaded houses, now the busiest place in Prague, the statue of Jan Hus, the reformer who was burned at the stake in 1415, the town hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, which displays the 12 apostles every hour, the Church of Our Lady before Týn (exterior), the Ungelt Passage, and the Merchant's Court. You will also see the Municipal House, the city's most beautiful Art Nouveau gem, and finally the Powder Tower, a 75-meter-high Gothic monument that was once used to guard the road to Kutná Hora.
In the afternoon, optional excursion: the Castle District. A symbol of the Czech people's glorious past, Prague Castle is at the heart of the country's political life, as it is the residence of the President of the Czech Republic. Located on a hill overlooking Prague's Old Town and Malá Strana, this monumental complex emerges from a crown of gardens and rooftops and unfolds its long horizontal facade, from which the towers of the cathedral and St. George's Cloister rise. You can admire magnificent churches (St. Vitus Cathedral, Strahov Monastery) and splendid palaces (Cernin, Belvedere). You can then stroll through the historic streets (New World, Golden Lane). Return on board. Evening entertainment.

The picturesque... more+ little town of Litom''ice is located on the banks of the Elbe, on the border between a large agricultural plain and the mountainous and wooded landscapes that characterize the highlands of central Bohemia. The historic center of the town is almost entirely surrounded by fortifications dating from the Gothic period. Here you can admire architectural gems such as Mírové nám'stí square, lined with original medieval houses, some of which are among the oldest still inhabited houses in the Czech Republic. Tasting of local specialties at the end of the visit.

Geologically speaking, the origins of this landscape date back four million years. During the Cretaceous period, the region was still submerged. The erosion that followed wore down the rocks and gave them their spectacular shapes. The landscape of the region is marked by tower-like rocks. The play of light and shadow, time and wind change the shapes and constantly reveal new facets. Visit Königstein Fortress, a unique example of European fortified architecture. This imposing complex of buildings in the flamboyant Gothic, Baroque, and 19th-century styles is the result of more than 750 years of history. The ramparts offer beautiful views of the Elbe. Your visit will begin with... more+ a panoramic tour where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the vast green spaces such as the Grand Garden or the banks and hillsides of the Elbe, the prestigious villas, and large buildings such as the football stadium and the VW factory. Then you will visit the old town on foot, passing by the unmissable Theater Square, where you can admire architectural masterpieces in Baroque, Renaissance, and other styles. You will see the Semper Opera House, the magnificent Zwinger, a Baroque-style palace, and the George Tower. Then walk along the Brühl Terrace, nicknamed "the balcony of Europe," lined with exceptional Baroque and Neoclassical architecture overlooking the Elbe along the south bank. Return to the ship and set sail for Meissen. Optional excursion: Guided tour of Meissen and visit to its Christmas market. Discover the historic charm of this medieval town dominated by the 15th-century Albrechtsburg Castle. Meissen is also known for producing some of the finest German porcelain. You will explore the old town, its large square lined with Renaissance houses, the town hall and St. Mary's Church, both in late Gothic style. At this time of year, the magic of Christmas is in the air, the streets are aglow with lights, and the aroma of mulled wine and traditional pastries fills the air. Stroll among the beautifully decorated chalets offering a wide range of local crafts: decorations, candles, sculptures, pottery, and much more.

Optional excursion: Wittenberg, the city of Luther. Depart for the city center and its beautiful Renaissance-style patrician houses. You will see the town hall, in front of which stand statues of Luther and his disciple Melanchthon. Buildings such as the castle church, considered the heart of the Reformation, Luther's house and Melanchthon's house are part of the city's heritage. You will visit Martin Luther's house (2), which was his home and workplace for 35 years. Today, it houses the world's largest museum dedicated to the history of the Protestant Reformation. Next, visit the Gothic St. Mary's Church. Further on, you will see Cranach's house, whose portraits are now scattered throughout the world's greatest museums. Evening entertainment on board. Finally, stop at the Christmas market on Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. In the afternoon, optional excursion: Visit to the New Palace. This sumptuous palace in Sanssouci Park is a symbol of Prussian power. Unlike the intimate Sanssouci Palace, the New Palace is a building with long rows of rooms, ballrooms, and sumptuously decorated galleries. You will discover the Marble Hall, the Grotto Hall, the Concert Hall, and the Palace Theater. Free time before returning to the ship. Gala evening.

Depart on foot for Prague's historic center. From the beginning of Advent until early January, Christmas markets are set up in several squares in Prague. You will visit the most beautiful and largest one, located in the Old Town Square, where a huge Christmas... more+ tree is erected, along with a nativity scene and numerous small wooden chalets. You will also see Prague's medieval-style astronomical clock, the most famous in the world, which displays the 12 apostles every hour. It was built in 1410 by master clockmaker Hanus and perfected by Jan Taborsky in the 16th century. Legend has it that the city councilors blinded Hanus to prevent him from reproducing his work. We'll leave from our ship for a guided tour of Litomerice. This royal city on the confluence of the Elbe and Ohre is one of the most beautiful in the Czech Republic. The extensive historical center has dozens of streets and squares. The colorful Gothic,... more+ Baroque and Renaissance buildings bordered to a great extent by well-preserved Gothic fortifications will delight you. Karel Hynek Mácha, the greatest Czech romantic poet, also succumbed to the charm of Litomerice. A delightful glass at the nearby Velké Zernoseky winery will certainly make your walk through the city all the more pleasant. Allow yourself to be enchanted by the rare architecture of the houses on the squares: the Saxon Renaissance town hall, the "Kalich” House with a roof terrace where the rich townsfolk used to meet over a glass of wine, and the "Cerný orel” House, which has preserved its original appearance with wonderful sgraffito work. There are also countless important churches such as the Gothic Church of All Saints with its Renaissance broach roofs, the Church of the Annunciation of the Lady Mary representing the pinnacle of work by the Italian architect Antonio Octavio Broggio and the Baroque Cathedral of St. Stephen, which was built by Domenico Orsi. Crossed by the Elbe, Saxon Switzerland is home to several ruins of buildings constructed to protect trade routes, such as Königstein Fortress and Hohnstein Castle. Some of these buildings later became hideouts for bandits. You will continue with a visit to Königstein Fortress. Built in the 13th and 16th centuries, this fortress crowns Königstein, which dominates the great loop of the Elbe.
