Quito Coca Rio Napo
Our adventure begins in the city of Quito, capital of Ecuador. After a short 30-minute flight from... more+ Quito to the Amazonian town of Coca, located in the province of Orellana, we will head to the dock and board our motorized canoe to begin our 90-minute journey along the river, enjoying the first sights and sounds of the Amazon. Soon, we will reach the boat and be welcomed aboard. Once settled in the boat, we will be joined by expert local naturalist guides who will give us a brief informative introduction to the Ecuadorian Amazon. Then, you will have the opportunity to discover the exciting features of our cruise ship: spacious social areas, comfortable suites, and the observation deck that allows us to admire the changing landscape of the rainforest as we glide along the Napo River. After dinner, we will dive right into the Amazon rainforest by taking a night walk in the forest (optional excursion) to observe the forest's nocturnal activity and experience the excitement of the sounds and vivid aromas that come from such biodiversity.

Rio Napo Panacocha
We continue down towards the Pañayacu River delta, where we will take a canoe trip to discover the... more+ landscapes of this fascinating water reserve. Lake Pañacocha is an ecosystem flooded by black waters. Pañacocha means "Piranha Lake" in the indigenous Kichwa language. The surrounding protected rainforest is home to 9 species of primates, 500 species of birds, and over 100 species of fish. It is the ideal habitat for piranhas, paiches (one of the largest freshwater fish in the world), and white caimans. In this little corner of paradise, we will take part in nature walks led by our local naturalist guides and relax at a nearby campsite where we will enjoy a delicious Amazonian-style barbecue accompanied by refreshing drinks. After lunch, we will go kayaking, and the more adventurous among us can enjoy a refreshing swim in Lake Piranha! We promise it's not as dangerous as it sounds! Back on board the ship, our guests will have the opportunity to attend a lecture given by our concierge and watch an educational documentary about the region.

Panacocha Parrot Clay
This morning, we will set off by canoe to observe one of the most incredible sites on this side of... more+ the western Amazon: the clay licks for parrots. This unique place is rich in minerals and attracts hundreds of colorful parrots, parakeets, and Amazonian birds every day. Later in the afternoon, we will visit a Kichwa cultural center, where we will learn about Amazonian communities, their ancestral culture, traditions, and cuisine. Members of the local community will teach us about indigenous lifestyles along the Napo River. You will have the opportunity to support the local community by purchasing handicrafts, local products, and souvenirs.

Parrot Clay Indillama River
We will start the day kayaking along the Indillama River, one of the tributaries of the Napo River,... more+ which will take us to Yasuní National Park. The kayaks are flexible and quiet, allowing for the best possible observation of the flora and fauna. Canoes can also be used to travel in search of other wildlife. The choice is yours! In these waters, you will be surrounded by lush vegetation. After an adventure-filled day, you can choose to enjoy our observation deck where you can relax and enjoy a magical view under the stars. Our more energetic guests may choose to unwind with a nighttime walk in the jungle to observe nocturnal creatures.

Indillama River Yasuni National Park
After a delicious breakfast, we will board a motorized canoe to explore one of the large islands... more+ where we can observe eagles, oropendolas, woodpeckers, and many other birds. We will then board the ship for lunch and enjoy the experiences offered on board, such as spectacular views of the changing landscapes from the Amazon hut's bathtub, a delicious cocktail at the bar and lounge, or admiring the breathtaking scenery from the observation deck. Later in the afternoon, we will visit Yasuní National Park, a pristine and relatively untouched area of the Ecuadorian Amazon. You will be happy to know that this is where the legendary pink river dolphin lives! Anacondas, river turtles, and various species of primates can also be found here, as well as the colorful hoatzin, a unique bird known locally as the "stinky turkey." Near Yasuní live the Secoyas, a minority community that our guests will have the opportunity to visit and learn about their traditions and way of life.

Yasuni National Park Panacocha
We will start the day by visiting an authentic Kichwa family located on the banks of the Napo... more+ River, where we will have the opportunity to learn directly from members of the local community. We will then board the ship for some free time as we continue our journey upriver. At this point, you will enjoy our onboard activities and participate in a cooking class with our expert chef, who will share recipes and techniques using fresh, organic ingredients to prepare exquisite traditional Ecuadorian dishes that you can recreate at home. After lunch, you are also invited to try your hand at making traditional handicrafts and attend a lecture on ancestral cultures with one of our local guides. For the more active, kayaking is the best choice for exploring the surrounding nature. There is something for everyone!

Panacocha Rio Napo
Relax and enjoy the boat ride in the morning. Then you will disembark to visit an observation tower... more+ in the rainforest canopy, which offers amazing 360-degree views. The view from the top of this observation tower is truly glorious, rising above the lush treetops and offering a view of the vastness of the Amazon basin. It's the perfect opportunity to take photos! Birdwatchers and bird lovers will particularly enjoy this outing. In the afternoon, we will explore the nearby forest on a walk to discover a myriad of animals and plant species found only in the Amazon basin. Kayaking is also available to explore this area. Back on board the ship, we will enjoy an exquisite farewell dinner.
