El Hegz Edfu Fawaza Island Sarag Island El Ramady Bassaw
Enjoy another leisurely breakfast on the river while sailing to Edfu, where your tour guide will... more+ accompany you on another excursion, this time to see the ancient Greco-Roman Temple of Horus (Edfu Temple). This is the best-preserved temple in Egypt, thanks to the fact that it became buried beneath desert sand and remained hidden for about 2,000 years before being rediscovered and excavated.
After your tour, continue sailing, passing by some islands where you can watch children playing by the Nile, buffaloes, and donkeys walking along the river. Enjoy lunch, then continue sailing until you reach the small island village of Bassaw. This 500-inhabitant community cultivates its own food, such as mangoes, bananas, dates, and relies on fishing for a living. They are notably isolated from surrounding areas, and Bessaw feels like it is frozen in time!
Upon arrival at the farmer’s property, we will be welcomed into their home, where we will have the opportunity to ask any questions, especially about education for girls living on the island. (There may even be a chance to bake our local sun bread for dinner). Enjoy dinner on the island, followed by a crew presentation of an Egyptian night full of fun and folkloric performances.

Bassaw Beshir Maniha Kom Ombo Herdiab Aswan
Enjoy breakfast aboard the Dahabeya while sailing towards more islands like Bashier and Maliha.... more+ Then, arrive at Kom Ombo and enjoy the wonderful views along the Nile.
We arrive at the Kom Ombo Temple, where your guide will take you to see the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo. This is one of the most unique and intriguing ancient temples because it was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek and Haeroris. To make this possible, the builders had to construct two of everything, resulting in a complex that is essentially two temples in one.
Continue sailing to Aswan, passing by Herdiab Island.
After lunch, disembark in the afternoon, then begin our tour in Aswan, starting with the great and magnificent ancient Temple of Philae. The Temple of Philae, located on Agilka Island, is one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in Egypt. It was moved in its entirety from its original location to its current location on higher ground to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, following the construction of the Aswan High Dam, which was completed in 1977.
On our way back to our home, the Dahabeya, we have the opportunity to stop by the Aswan Souq (market), where you can practice your bargaining skills, visit the spice market, and enjoy a famous sugarcane juice.
