Enjoy another peaceful breakfast as you sail towards Edfu, where your guide will accompany you on... more+ another excursion, this time to discover the Greco-Roman temple of Horus, also known as the Temple of Edfu.
This temple is the best preserved in Egypt, thanks to the fact that it was buried under the desert sand for nearly 2,000 years before being rediscovered and carefully excavated.

After the visit, the cruise continues, passing several islands where you can watch children playing on the banks of the Nile, as well as buffalo and donkeys roaming along the riverbanks. Lunch is served on board, then the cruise continues to the small island village of Bassaw.
This community of about 500 inhabitants lives off agriculture (mangoes, bananas, dates) and fishing. Isolated from the modern world, Bassaw seems frozen in time. Upon arrival, you will visit a local farm where you will be warmly welcomed by the family. This will be an opportunity to exchange ideas, particularly on the education of girls living on the island. (You may even have the chance to help prepare traditional sun-baked bread for dinner.) Dinner on the island, followed by a festive Egyptian evening hosted by the crew with dancing and folklore.
