Aswan
Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be welcomed by our local partner and transferred to your boat.... more+ Breakfast on board, then departure for a visit to the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Begun by Pharaoh Nectanebo I during the 30th dynasty and completed by the Romans, it is the main sanctuary dedicated to Isis. Take a felucca ride around Elephantine Island and discover the local shops, then depart for the High Dam and the unfinished obelisk. The Aswan region, rich in schist, alabaster, and pink granite found only in this part of Egypt, provided the stone blocks used to build the pyramids, statues, and colossi erected by the pharaohs. In the granite quarry, you will find the largest obelisk known to date (41.75 m), which was abandoned due to a crack in the rock. Lunch and dinner on board. In the evening, optional sound and light show at the Temple of Philae. Night on board.

Aswan Kom Ombo
Free morning in town. Optional excursion by bus or plane to visit the temples of Abu Simbel, built... more+ by Ramses II. Return to Aswan for lunch before setting sail for Kom Ombo. Visit the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Built on a hill, the temple is surrounded by a wall covered with reliefs. Inside, the space is divided into two parts: the northern part is dedicated to Haroeris, the falcon-headed god, and the southern part to Sobek, the crocodile god. Return to the boat and sail to Edfu.

Kom Ombo Edfu Esna Luxor
Breakfast on board, followed by a continuation of the cruise to Edfu. Upon arrival, depart for a... more+ tour of the Temple of Edfu. You’ll enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride to the temple, located further inland (alternative transportation available upon request). This temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus is both the largest temple of the Ptolemaic dynasty and the second-largest sanctuary in Egypt after Karnak. Inside, the intact paintings, inscriptions, and reliefs make it the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Return to the boat and cruise down the river toward Esna to pass through the lock midday. Continue sailing toward Luxor, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.

Breakfast, then off to the necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile, with a visit to the... more+ Valley of the Kings, home to the tombs of numerous New Kingdom pharaohs, their families and nobles in their favor. The tour continues with the Colossi of Memnon, the last vestiges of the temple of Amenhotep III, and Deir el Bahari, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Carved out of the rock in the Theban mountain, this three-tiered temple built in 1455 is both harmonious and modern, and although dedicated to the god Amun, it also contains chapels to Anubis and Hathor, the patron goddess of women. Then on to the southern part of ancient Thebes, on the east bank of the Nile, with a visit to Karnak temple. After the visits, return to the boat for lunch, then free time until transfer to the airport.

Unfinished obelisk
The Unfinished Obelisk of Aswan is an impressive remnant located in an ancient granite quarry in Upper Egypt. Commissioned during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, it was intended to be the largest obelisk ever constructed, reaching about 42 meters in height and... more+ weighing an estimated 1,200 tons. However, a crack that appeared during the carving process halted the work, leaving the monument incomplete and still attached to the bedrock.
Today, the site provides a unique insight into the working methods of ancient Egyptian stonecutters. Visitors can observe extraction techniques, tool marks, and the monumental logistics involved in creating such structures.
