Itinerary

Aswan Kom Ombo Gebel el-Silsila
The pick-up point for this excursion is the address of your choice in Aswan. At 9 a.m., you will be... more+ welcomed by our local partner. Transfer from any address in Aswan to board the boat. After a welcome by the crew, the boat sets sail for a small island for a walk in the peaceful countryside. After lunch on the sun deck, you will visit Egypt's only double temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. The temple has two entrances, processional paths, and sanctuaries. Continue sailing to the ancient sandstone quarries of Gebel el-Silsila. First night on board.

Gebel el-Silsila Edfu Fawaza Island
After breakfast, you explore the rock temple and the remains of monuments in the old quarries.... more+ While daily life on the riverbanks gets underway and the first fishermen are at work, you can relax on the sundeck while the crew sails to Edfu. Here you see the fantastically well-preserved temple of Horus, the falcon god. The walls of the innermost part of the temple are completely covered in texts, which actually makes it a library carved in stone. The day ends at a small Nile island where you have dinner around a campfire. Second night on board.
