Luxor Thebes West Esna
The English-speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle. You will visit the... more+ River Valley of the Dead: the Necropolis of Thebes. Located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Luxor, discover the Valley of the Kings where the Egyptian rulers of the New Kingdom were buried in these mountains. Visits to three tombs are included (the tombs are opened on a rotating basis each month for preservation purposes). On the day of the tour, your guide will let you know which ones are open and which are the most interesting to visit.
Continue your tour with the Colossi of Memnon, huge 18-meter-high statues of Amenhotep III, standing majestically at the entrance to his now-lost funerary temple. Next, discover the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the Theban mountain. Dedicated to the worship of Hathor and Amun, this temple, also known as Deir el-Bahari, consists of a large courtyard and three levels with superb terraces.
After the visits, return to your cruise. Your English-speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle to your dahabieh in Esna, where you will check in at noon. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.

This sanctuary dedicated to the falcon god Horus is the largest temple of the Ptolemaic dynasty and the second largest in Egypt after Karnak. Inside, the intact paintings, inscriptions, and reliefs make it the best-preserved temple in Egypt. After the visit, return to the boat for lunch and continue the cruise to Bisaw Island, where the boat will stop for the night. Free time to explore the island and dinner on the riverbank. Night on board.

Bassaw Gebel el-Silsila Kom Ombo Aswan
Breakfast on board and departure for a visit to Gebel Silsileh, both an archaeological site and... more+ Egypt's most important sandstone quarry. Placed under the protection of the god Hapy, this quarry provided the sandstone for almost all of the temples in Upper Egypt. On the west bank of the Nile stands a sanctuary carved into the rock, dedicated to the god Horemheb and seven other deities, including the local god Sobek. Lunch on board, followed by a walking tour of the ancient quarry.
Continue the cruise to Kom Ombo. Dedicated to two deities—Sobek, the crocodile god in the south, and Horus, the falcon god in the north—the temple features perfectly symmetrical architecture. Built on a hill by three Ptolemies, the Kom Ombo complex is surrounded by a wall decorated with reliefs. Return to the boat and sail to El Ramadi Island, where the boat will stop for the night. Dinner and overnight stay on board your cruise.
