This morning will be devoted to visiting sites on the West Bank. Explore... more+ the Valley of the Kings, where most of the pharaohs of the 18th and 20th Dynasties were buried. Next, visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, notable for its series of terraces leading up to the sanctuary.

Lunch at a traditional restaurant and return to the hotel. In the afternoon, free time to explore the city and dinner on your own.

Breakfast on board, then set out on foot to explore Gebel Silsileh and its quarry, the largest... more+ sandstone quarry from the Pharaonic era. You’ll explore the numerous inscriptions, stelae, and decorated tombs, and visit the small rock-cut temple of Pharaoh Horemheb. Return to the boat for lunch and sail to Kom Ombo. Arrive at the Kom Ombo Temple before the large cruise ships; you’ll be almost the only visitors in this beautiful temple dedicated to two deities, Sobek the crocodile and Horus the falcon. Finish with a visit to the stunning museum of crocodile mummies. Short cruise to Daraw for the night. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Dahabiehs are traditional sailing boats that navigate primarily under sail. When wind conditions do not permit it, or on certain stretches of the Nile, the boat may be towed at a distance (approximately 30 m) by a small tugboat, as dahabiehs do not have engines
