Edfu Fawaza Island Sarag Island El Hegz El Ramady Bassaw
Enjoy another leisurely breakfast on the river as you sail towards Edfu. Your guide will accompany... more+ you on an excursion to discover the ancient Greco-Roman Temple of Horus, also known as the Temple of Edfu. This temple is the best-preserved in Egypt, as it was buried under desert sand for nearly 2,000 years before being rediscovered and excavated.

After the visit, continue sailing past a few islands where you can watch children playing by the Nile, as well as buffaloes and donkeys walking along the shores. Enjoy lunch on board and proceed to the small island village of Bassaw. This community of 500 inhabitants grows its own food, including mangoes, bananas, and dates, and primarily lives off fishing. Isolated from surrounding areas, Bassaw seems frozen in time.

Upon arrival at the village, visit a local farm where you will be warmly welcomed. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, particularly about the education of girls living on the island. (You might also have the chance to help bake the local sun bread for dinner).

Enjoy dinner on the island, accompanied by an Egyptian night of fun with folkloric entertainment organized by the crew.

Beshir Maniha Kom Ombo Bassaw Herdiab Aswan
Enjoy breakfast on board the Dahabeya as you sail to other islands such as Bashier and Maliha, then... more+ arrive at Kom Ombo to admire the splendid views along the Nile.

We arrive at Kom Ombo Temple, where your guide will take you on a tour of the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple. This is one of the most unique and intriguing of all ancient temples, as it was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek and Haeroris. To achieve this, the builders had to construct two of each, creating a complex that is effectively two temples in one. Sail on to Aswan, passing Herdiab Island.

Disembark in the afternoon.

We begin our visit to Aswan with the great and magnificent ancient temple of Philae. The temple of Philae, located on the island of Agilka, is one of Egypt's most beautiful sanctuaries and has been entirely moved from its original location to higher ground. This was done to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the construction of the Aswan High Dam, completed in 1977. On the way back to our Dahabeya, we'll have the opportunity to stop at the Aswan souk (market), where you can practice your bargaining skills, visit the spice market and have the chance to taste the famous sugar cane juices. Afterwards, our representative in Aswan will guide you to Aswan airport or your hotel in Aswan.
