Esna El Kab
Depart from your hotel and travel 50 km south to Esna, the home port of your Dahabieh. After... more+ boarding the boat, begin your 5-day cruise along the Nile toward Aswan. Before sailing, visit the Esna Temple, dedicated to the ram-headed god Khnum, and enjoy a short walk through the lively local markets. Continue sailing to El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb, where you’ll explore the remains of temples and rock-cut tombs nestled in the cliffs. As evening falls, the boat anchors near a small island. Enjoy a peaceful dinner either on board or along the quiet banks of the Nile. Spend your first night on board, surrounded by the timeless serenity of the river.

Enjoy breakfast on board as the Dahabieh sails to El Kab, one of Egypt’s oldest inhabited sites.... more+ Dating back to 6000 BCE, El Kab was a prominent Predynastic and Early Dynastic settlement, flourishing alongside Hierakonpolis just across the Nile. After your visit, lunch is served on board as the scenery shifts—golden desert sands give way to lush date palm groves, offering timeless views unchanged for centuries.In the afternoon, explore the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god, this temple once hosted grand ceremonies with live falcons in his honor and remains one of the finest examples of Ptolemaic architecture in Egypt. The journey continues to Wadi el Shat, where you'll enjoy a walk through small villages and the surrounding desert landscape. As the day ends, the boat moors near a quiet Nile island. Dinner is served on board or on the riverbank, followed by your second overnight stay on the Dahabieh.

Return to the Dahabieh for lunch as you sail southward. Spend a relaxing afternoon on the sundeck, watching the riverside glide by as the boat makes its way to Gebel el-Silsila. Here, visit the ancient sandstone quarries and the impressive rock-cut chapels of Seti I, Ramesses II, Merenptah, and Horemheb—silent witnesses to Egypt’s grand construction age. As the sun sets, the Dahabieh sails on toward Kom Ombo. Dinner is served around a glowing campfire along the Nile’s edge—an unforgettable evening under the stars. Overnight on board.
