Optional excursion: Mainz. Accompanied by your guides, you’ll... more+ tour the city of Mainz, located on the banks of the Rhine and facing the mouth of the Main. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the thousand-year-old cathedral, whose construction began in 975. You’ll stroll through the streets of the old town and head toward Gutenberg Square. Free time—make the most of the historic center and wander through the winding alleys to admire the lovingly restored half-timbered, Baroque, and Rococo facades. Return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon cruise to Strasbourg. Onboard entertainment.
