This excursion alone is a picture-postcard view of Switzerland. Lunch on board the train or at a restaurant (depending on availability). Return to Basel (from Andermatt to Chur or vice versa. The Rhine Falls are one of Switzerland's most spectacular natural wonders. You'll discover Laufen Castle (outside), where you can experience the Rhine Falls up close, thanks to the platform overlooking them. You'll have a breathtaking view of the roaring waters.

We’ll leave by coach for Colmar. You'll have a brief guided tour of the city's center, including historical sites such as the Unterlinden Museum, “Little Venice,” Saint Martin’s Church, the Pfister House, and the Koïfhus.... more+ After, we’ll continue along the Alsatian Wine Route. Lunch is included during the tour (except beverages). We’ll stop in Obernai, known as the “condensed version of Alsace.”  The belfry, town hall, the Six Bucket Well, Saint Odile’s fountain, and the Wheat Hall are all spectacular sites to visit. PLEASE NOTE Times are approximate and can change according to the order of visits. This coach tour includes stops with free time on your own. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. Lunch included, except for beverages. *Alcohol can be dangerous to your health. Please drink in moderation. INCLUDED in SBS cruise.

We'll leave Basel for Lake Constance and Mainau, an island of unparalleled beauty. There’s so much to admire and discover on Mainau. This verdant, floral paradise has become one of the most famous and most frequented tourist destinations in... more+ Germany.We'll have lunch on the island. Enjoy some free time exploring the area on your own.Bulbous plants kick off the spring on the island. Snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, squills, and tulips carpet the magnificent gardens from March to May, followed by 12,000 rose bushes that decorate the island from the end of May until the first frost. In the fall, dahlias become the center of attention. Approximately 12,000 bulbous plants representing 250 varieties bloom along the island's south side at the end of the summer and into the fall. The palm tree greenhouse—containing hemp palms and exotic date trees—and the colorful butterfly house provide a South Seas atmosphere all year round.
