Morning sailing on the Rhine to Vieux-Brisach. The Rhine is one of the continent's busiest... more+ waterways. For centuries, it was a bitterly disputed border between France and Germany. The history of the Alsace plain is intimately linked to the mythical river. The tourist route that follows the course of the Rhine is marked by both history and the environment, such as the remains of Vauban at Neuf-Brisach. Arrival in Vieux-Brisach in the afternoon.
Free time to explore Vieux-Brisach. This German town in Baden-Württemberg is located a few kilometers from Neuf-Brisach, on the banks of the Rhine. The two towns are linked by their history, both fortified by Vauban. The town's main assets are its panoramic view of the Black Forest, its ancient towers and gates and its late 12th-century cathedral. Return on board. New Year's Eve dinner.
