Full-day excursion included: Strasbourg and Christmas markets. Departure for a panoramic tour of... more+ the city that will give you a good overview of the city and its history. You'll see in turn part of Strasbourg's harbor, the remains of the city's ancient fortifications built by Vauban, the European Quarter, the German Quarter (or Neustadt), then the medieval Old Town, as well as several religious buildings. The tour continues on foot through old Strasbourg before reaching the Petite France district, the most picturesque part of old Strasbourg. Fishermen, millers and tanners once lived and worked in this waterfront district. The magnificent half-timbered houses date from the 16th and 17th centuries. Their sloping roofs open onto attics where hides were once dried. Then it's on to Cathedral Square (outside). With its 142-metre spire, the cathedral and its pink sandstone lace dress dominate the entire Alsace plain. Don't miss the Kammerzell house (1589), decorated with carved beams and half-timbering. Lunch in a restaurant. Free afternoon at the Christmas markets. For four centuries now, the emblematic "Christkindelsmärik" has unfurled its magic in the heart of Europe's capital. More than 300 wooden chalets in various squares around the city invite you to make enchanting discoveries in a magical atmosphere. In the evening, discover the Christmas illuminations with the entertainment team: Place de la Cathédrale, Place Kléber, Carré d'Or, Place Gutenberg...
