Excursion to North Holland and Zaanse Schans:
Take a bus tour to explore the Dutch province of North Holland, located on a peninsula between the North Sea and the IJsselmeer. Charming little towns bear witness to the era when the IJsselmeer was still open to the sea and was known as the Zuiderzee.
You’ll head to Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum recreating a typical 17th- and 18th-century neighborhood. Situated on the banks of the Zaan River, this charming spot captivates visitors with its green wooden houses and iconic windmills. There, you can visit a traditional wooden clog workshop, a cheese factory, beautiful gardens, and several museums.
The excursion will then continue along the shores of the IJsselmeer to Edam. During a peaceful stroll, you’ll discover this picturesque town, world-renowned for its famous cheese.

The arrival in the city is particularly impressive as you cross the Waal Bridge toward the center: the Waalkade quays and the silhouette of the old town create a remarkable panorama. Here, past and present coexist harmoniously, blending historic neighborhoods with contemporary architecture.
Situated on a ridge overlooking the banks of the Waal, Nijmegen has held a strong appeal for centuries. This tour will take you off the beaten path, through small, winding alleys where the atmosphere of the Middle Ages still lingers.
You’ll discover, among other things, Valkhof Park and its castle ruins, City Hall, St. Stephen’s Church, the former Latin School, and the Customs House, adorned with a remarkable mosaic mural.
