Passau
The cruise begins in Passau, the charming "city of three rivers," located at the confluence of the... more+ Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers. Boarding takes place between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., before the ship departs at 5:00 p.m. Once you have settled in on board, enjoy your first moments of relaxation as you admire the landscapes gently passing by along the Danube, while the ship sets sail for its next port of call.

Passau Ybbs Vienne
Early in the morning, the ship docks at 6:00 a.m. and remains at the quay until noon. The cruise... more+ then continues through the magnificent Wachau region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its picturesque landscapes, terraced vineyards, and charming villages nestled along the Danube. Several optional excursions are offered during this stage.
One of them leads to Maria Taferl, the most important pilgrimage site in Lower Austria. Located on the north bank of the Danube, this basilica, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, dominates the valley from its promontory. Built around an ancient Marian oratory, it is the origin of the name "Maria Taferl." According to tradition, miraculous healings have taken place here since 1633, followed by apparitions of angels reported over the years. After visiting the church, the panoramic view of the Nibelungengau region is splendid. Back in Ybbs, the tour continues with a visit to the former navigation master's house, which now houses the Atelier an der Donau art gallery, showcasing works by artists from around the world. Visitors can even try out the printing press before ending with a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town, which bear witness to Ybbs' rich past.
Another optional excursion takes visitors to the Ybbs-Persenbeug hydroelectric power plant, the oldest on the Danube and the fourth most powerful in Austria. Opened in 1959, it generates electricity from hydraulic energy and has also helped to make navigation on the river safer. The guided tour allows visitors to see the facilities up close, from the turbines to the locks, while enjoying a walk on the dam with impressive views of the infrastructure. Depending on weather conditions, a visit to the lock area reveals fascinating details about the passage process and the role of the operators.
Finally, an optional excursion offers a trip to the Prater, Vienna's famous amusement park in the second district. Its emblem, the Ferris wheel, offers spectacular views of the city and a moment of pure wonder as you gaze out over the panorama of the Danube metropolis.

In the morning, the cruise continues to Vienna, the great metropolis on the Danube. The ship... more+ remains docked until the evening, with departure scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Several optional excursions allow you to discover the many facets of the Austrian capital. The first offers a guided tour of Vienna, on foot or by bus. From the quay, the itinerary takes you through "New Vienna," with the Uno-City and Danube Island, before reaching the famous Ringstrasse, lined with imposing buildings such as the State Opera, the Burgtheater, the Hofburg, the Parliament, the City Hall, and the Votive Church. The guided tour allows you to appreciate all the beauty and unique charm of the city, as well as its famous Viennese "Schmäh," a mixture of humor and joie de vivre. After some free time, the tour ends at Praterstern before returning to the ship.
Another optional excursion takes you to Baden, a charming spa town in the Wienerwald wine region, once popular with emperors and kings. The excursion offers a stroll through the historic center with its Biedermeier charm, elegant 19th-century facades, and peaceful atmosphere typical of this resort town.
Finally, an optional excursion allows you to discover Vienna by electric bike, far from the usual tourist routes. Accompanied by a guide, the route crosses the Danube Island, one of the most popular leisure areas for Viennese residents. Throughout the ride, the guide shares anecdotes about local life in the Danube metropolis, with a refreshing break planned before returning to the ship.

At noon, the ship docks in Budapest, one of Europe's most beautiful capitals, aptly nicknamed the... more+ "Queen of the Danube." The river divides the Hungarian metropolis into two distinct parts: Buda, the historic hill, and Pest, the bustling plain.
An optional excursion allows you to discover the city through a guided tour combining a panoramic tour and a walking tour. The route crosses the city center and reveals all the charm of the Hungarian capital. From the heights, the view of Buda Castle, the Fisherman's Bastion, and Matthias Church recalls the splendor of the past. The tour also includes a stop at Budapest's famous covered market, a must-see place to soak up the local atmosphere. In the evening, several optional excursions offer unique experiences. One of them offers a Hungarian evening with a colorful folk show. The artists, dressed in their traditional costumes, perform lively dances and music in a typically Hungarian atmosphere. Goulash soup and local wine are served before returning to the ship through the illuminated city, passing iconic buildings such as the Parliament, the Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle, the Chain Bridge, and Gellért Hill. For an authentic immersion in local traditions, head south of the city for an excursion to the Puszta. Upon arrival at Tanya-Csárda, you will be welcomed in typical Hungarian style with schnapps and savory pastries. You will then visit the stud farm before enjoying a short carriage ride across the vast plain. The famous Csikós, horse herders, will treat you to an impressive equestrian show, retracing the customs and life of yesteryear in the Puszta. The tour ends with a tasting of regional specialties and free time to explore the shop selling local products, including salami, paprika, wines, and brandies.
Those who wish to explore the capital from a different angle can opt for the "Impressions of Budapest" excursion, combining a walking tour and a train ride. Small but charming, the city captivates visitors with its beautifully restored historic center, where every alleyway seems to tell a story.
An optional excursion will allow you to explore this city with its rich history. The tour begins with a drive through the embassy district to the famous Bratislava Castle (Hrad), perched on a hill overlooking the city. A photo stop will allow you to admire the panoramic view of the Danube and the old town, while listening to fascinating stories about this former royal residence, which enjoyed its golden age under the reign of Maria Theresa. The tour then continues on foot through the old town, where Baroque buildings, historic palaces, and medieval gates elegantly intermingle. You will pass the National Theater, the Town Hall, and the Redoute, a symbol of the past splendor of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. And don't miss Bratislava's most famous character: Cumil, the friendly "man with the curious gaze" emerging from a manhole cover, who has become one of the city's most photographed symbols.

Bratislava Melk
Early in the morning, the ship docks at Melk, a charming town located at the entrance to the Wachau... more+ Valley. Towering over the town and the Danube, the imposing Benedictine Abbey of Melk has stood as a symbol of the region's spiritual and cultural influence for over a thousand years.
An optional excursion allows you to visit this Baroque masterpiece, made famous in Umberto Eco's novel The Name of the Rose. During a guided tour, you will discover the history and importance of this monastery during the Baroque period through its architecture, frescoes, and richly decorated library. After the tour, you will have free time to explore the grounds and gardens before being taken back to the ship to continue the cruise.
