Ios Santorin
In the morning, we sail towards Santorini, the most famous and spectacular island in the Cyclades.... more+ This immense volcano rising from the Aegean Sea, with its white houses and blue roofs clinging to the cliffs, is a true postcard of Greece. We embark on an excursion to discover the villages of Pyrgos, Oia, and Fira. Pyrgos village is the highest point of Santorini island. Built on a hillside, this typical Cycladic ancient fortress offers panoramic views of the entire island. The traditional architecture, neoclassical mansions, winding paths leading to the top of the village, small white houses, galleries, vineyards, and churches make Pyrgos a magical place. Oia is located at the northwest tip of the island and stretches for nearly 2 km. From there, all eyes are drawn to the nearby island of Thirasia and to the center of the Santorini caldera. The view is spectacular. Along its narrow streets, one discovers picturesque traditional houses. Bell towers, domes, and windmills punctuate the landscape, which is enhanced by the breathtaking sunset. Fira, the capital of Santorini, is located in the center of the caldera. Its white houses adorned with the blue of the Cyclades seem to cling to the cliff. From the city streets, the view of the caldera is magnificent, even dizzying as the edge of the cliff is so close. One will admire the subtle interweaving of houses, which offer numerous terraces with stunning views. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board.

Your walk will take you to the kastro, a Venetian fortress built in the 13th century, and to the Basilica of Panaghia Katapoliani, considered one of the most important Byzantine monuments in Greece. Lunch on board while sailing to Naxos. A large island in the Cyclades, Naxos offers a rare diversity´ of landscapes. The center of the island is mountainous, and the villages that nestle here contrast with traditional Cycladic villages.
