At dinnertime, we will arrive in Wijk bij Duurstede, a town located at the confluence of the Kromme Rijn and Lek rivers. A town with a rich history dating back to the Iron Age and Roman times, it is home to Duurstede Castle, recognizable by its 13th-century square tower.
The best way to discover Wijk bij Duurstede is to stroll through the historic center, lined with ancient monuments. It is impossible to get lost in this compact town center. Don't miss Peperstraat, where you will find the most beautiful shops, and take a walk under the trees of the Mazijk, offering a beautiful view of the Grote Kerk. Overnight on board. During your visit to Wijk bij... more+ Duurstede, don't miss Duurstede Castle, one of the oldest medieval castle ruins in the Netherlands. The Grote Kerk, located in the heart of the market square, is also one of the city's most important national monuments.
Another iconic landmark is the Rijn en Lek windmill, unique in the Netherlands. Built on an old city gate, it is also the only windmill that can still be approached and visited up close.
In the evening, we will sail to Arnhem, known for its crucial role during World War II in the Battle of Arnhem, as part of Operation Market Garden. Night on board. Overnight stop in the city.

For nature lovers, the Veluwe National Park—one of the largest in the Netherlands—is nearby and home to the Kröller-Müller Museum, which has one of the world's largest collections of Van Gogh's works.
The city is also a fashion hub, with the creative Modekwartier district and ArtEZ, one of the country's top design schools. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands, whose history dates back to Roman times, as evidenced by its archaeological sites and well-preserved monuments. The impressive St. Stevenskerk church and the Valkhof museum offer a glimpse into its medieval past, while the Waalbrug bridge connects the two banks, offering panoramic views of the Waal river. One of Amsterdam's main attractions is its cultural and museum wealth. The Van Gogh Museum houses the world's largest collection of the artist's works, with around 200 paintings and drawings, as well as multimedia exhibitions tracing his life. The Rijksmuseum, located on Museumplein, displays more than a million objects, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. Another must-see is the Anne Frank House, a museum that commemorates the Holocaust and allows visitors to explore the rooms where the young Jewish girl hid during World War II.
In the heart of the city, Dam Square is an iconic site home to the Royal Palace—restored in 2009—and the Nieuwe Kerk church, a historic venue for royal coronations.
