Flight to Bergen. Transfer to the terminal and board the ship. After boarding, we invite you to... more+ enjoy our tasty buffet dinner made with the finest ingredients from the coast. You will sail north of Bergen along the Hjeltefjord. In doing so, you'll be following the same route as the Vikings once did as they sailed to the Shetland Islands and beyond. You'll be heading for the Far North. You can spend the rest of the evening relaxing and taking in the scenery from the deck or the panoramic lounge.

In the morning, admire the spectacular views over Nordfjord before enjoying a delicious breakfast.... more+ We then round the Western Cape and approach Ålesund. Ålesund is famous for its superb Art Nouveau architecture and its Atlanterhavsparken, one of Northern Europe's largest seawater aquariums. If you travel with us in spring or winter, you'll spend much of the day exploring this picturesque town. In summer, we'll head to the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage-listed Geirangerfjord*, passing through some of the most beautiful scenery Norway has to offer. Once in the fjord, you may be lucky enough to see the famous Seven Sisters waterfalls tumbling down the cliffs.

In spring, from April to May*, and in autumn, from September to October, your boat will sail to Hjørundfjord, hidden in the Sunnmøre Alps. A stopover is also planned in the picturesque village of Urke to admire the thousand-year-old farms, the fjord and the lush mountainsides.
*Only on trips departing from 2025-26. The last port of the day is Molde. In summer, there may be just enough light to enjoy the incredible view of the 222 mountain peaks across the fjord known as the Molde Panorama. From mid-June to the end of August, the city's streets and gardens are adorned with fragrant roses of every colour, living up to its nickname of ‘City of Roses’.

The charming town of Trondheim is as rich in history as it is in culture. Founded by the Viking... more+ king Olaf Tryggvason in 997, Trondheim today boasts a unique blend of ancient and modern. Join our optional excursion to the majestic Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's only Gothic cathedral and the tomb of St Olaf (Tryggvason). Admire the cathedral's sublime artwork, architectural details and medieval statues. In spring, we'll push on to the Ringve Music Museum, which looks back over the country's musical history in an impressive manor house with a fantastic view. From October to March, hop on a carriage to discover the world's most northerly tram line. You can even explore Trondheim by kayak on the River Nidelven or cycle around the city. You can join the Hurtigruten guides for hikes and more. In the afternoon, the ship heads northwest past the Kjeungskjær lighthouse, rocky islets and reefs. We'll sail through the narrow Stokksund Channel and on to the charming town of Rorvik.

We'll be crossing the Arctic Circle, which should give you the chance to see the Northern Lights in... more+ winter. We'll be celebrating with an Arctic Circle crossing ceremony on deck. Ørnes is home to Norway's second largest glacier, the Svartisen. We then sail along the beautiful Helgeland coast to Bodø, where you can watch the Saltstraumen, the world's most powerful maelstrom, on board an exploration boat. In the afternoon, the rock face of the Lofoten Islands will appear on the horizon, revealing majestic granite cliffs up to 1,000 metres high and white sandy beaches. In Stamsund, visit the Viking Museum, which begins with a visit to the chef's house for a real Viking feast. Between Stamsund and Svolvær, you can discover the daily life of an organic farm producing cheese and plants, or visit Lofoten's only craft brewery in Svolvær. In winter, we'll cross the Arctic Circle, make active attempts to see the Aurora Borealis, and broadcast a multimedia show entitled The Magic Light of the Northern Lights. We'll take the narrow Raftsund and stop at the mouth of the Trollfjord, offering a natural spectacle not to be missed.

We'll dock briefly at Risoyhamn, Harstad and Finnsnes in the morning. We then head to the capital... more+ of Arctic exploration, Tromsø, for a slightly longer stopover. You can round off your stay in Tromso with a thrilling husky-drawn sleigh ride through the magnificent icy expanses of the snow-covered plateau. You could also go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, or fish in the deep waters of an Arctic fjord. You can join the Hurtigruten guides for hikes to discover the Tromso region. Want to enjoy the serenity of the sea? Take a kayak trip along Tromso's coastline in summer to get up close to the marine wildlife.

Contemplate the sublime landscapes of the North Cape, one of the most northerly points on the... more+ European continent. After a short stop in Hammerfest, we'll arrive in Havoysund. Take an exploratory boat trip to see the North Cape from the sea, visit the world's most northerly fishing village and take a bus tour of the North Cape plateau. The ship continues on to Honningsvag, where you can take an excursion to Gjesværstappan to see the millions of birds that nest there. The ship will then head deeper into Sámi territory. Visit Kjollefjord, where you can learn how the Sámi live and discover the traditional joik (or song).

Berlevag Kirkenes
The views become increasingly spectacular as you approach Kirkenes. You'll arrive near Vadso early... more+ in the morning and then, just after breakfast, in Kirkenes, at 30° East, further east than Istanbul and St Petersburg. This is the turning point for the Coastal Express line back south. Kirkenes is known as the capital of the Barents Sea region, and the gateway to the East. After disembarking in Kirkenes, transfer to the airport and fly to Paris via Oslo.

An architectural gem integrated into the shoreline, the aquarium offers an authentic experience where you can get up close and personal with some of the marine species that inhabit the Norwegian coast. Visit the open-air pool to observe the friendly penguins. Taste catfish croquettes at the café overlooking the ocean.

The North Cape plateau stretches 307 meters above the Arctic Ocean. Welcome to Europe's northernmost point. Unlike previous passengers who had to climb to the top of the cliff, a bus from Honningsvåg will take you to your destination. You'll have plenty of... more+ time to stroll around the plateau and take photos in front of the monumental globe.
Enjoy a generous breakfast buffet in the North Cape Hall as you gaze out over the Barents Sea, before experiencing the four seasons of the North Cape through a panoramic film. In the North Cape Hall, inside the cliff, you can buy handcrafted gifts for your loved ones in the gift store and visit the chapel and small museum.
Departing from Honningsvåg, we take an underwater tunnel that links the town to the mainland. The bus then takes us south along the majestic Porsangerfjord, before heading back along the coast to Hammerfest, one of the world's most northerly towns.
