Itinerary
Bergen
Your tour guide will meet you at Paris airport, assist you with the formalities and take you to... more+ Norway. Transfer from Bergen airport to the city centre. Founded in the 11th century, Bergen, the former capital of Norway, was one of the first Hanseatic trading posts, exporting dried fish in particular. After several fires, the city was rebuilt each time, changing its face with each new reconstruction. Even today, it remains a major trading port, exporting textiles and oil. Bergen also boasts a rich cultural life. Lunch at leisure in the Hanseatic quarter and the fish market. Check-in at the hotel in the city centre. The city unfolds in a magnificent setting that we will discover in the afternoon, from one of the seven hills that dominate the city and that can be reached by funicular. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

We'll take advantage of this walk to visit the Hanseatic Museum, where we'll learn about the history of the League and the living conditions of these merchants. Lunch at leisure. We will then visit the Kode art museum, which contains an exceptional collection of Scandinavian paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, including works by artists such as Munch and Dahl. Alesund Molde
The ship weaves in and out of reefs and islands before docking at the port of Alesund for a day's... more+ ecale. The town is built on a spectacular site between islands and islets linked by a bridge and tunnels. As well as this natural setting, it is famous for its magnificent art nouveau architecture. After being destroyed by fire in 1904, Alesund was rebuilt in the Art Nouveau style that was very much in vogue at the time. We will visit Ålesund, a town that seems to have risen from the ocean. As well as its fishing port and picturesque market, it boasts a fine collection of Art Nouveau architecture dating from the early 20th century. We'll take the coach up to Mount Askla for a panoramic view of the town and the Sunnmøre Alps. We will then visit the Museum of Art Nouveau, housed in a former pharmacy built in 1907, which features modern multimedia presentations as well as original interiors and authentic objects. The morning stopover allows us to visit Norway's third largest city, the country's former capital, nestled in the heart of a vast fjord. Trondheim was founded by King Olav Tryggvason in 997. It is known for its majestic Nidaros Cathedral, built in the 11th century. Many wooden buildings, the old town bridge and the old district of Bakkland are also worth a visit. After lunch on board, the ship sets sail northwest and enters Nordland. After passing through the narrow Stollsund Strait, the ship heads for the charming village of Rorvik in the evening. Rorvik Bodo Raftsund
During this morning's cruise, you will cross the Arctic Circle between stops in Nessa and Ornes.... more+ This invisible line at 66°33' north latitude marks the southernmost point for the midnight sun, which shines for 24 hours during the summer. This is where the Arctic begins. In the early afternoon, we will reach Bodo, where you will have free time to stroll along the harbor and discover this city nicknamed "the city of roses," which experienced significant growth thanks to herring fishing. In the afternoon, the cruise continues towards Vestfjord and the Lofoten Islands. Here you can enjoy magnificent landscapes of mountains rising out of the sea. In the evening, there is a free stopover in Svolvaer, a center for Arctic cod fishing. The fish drying racks and colorful fishermen's houses give this village a very authentic character. The boat will then sail through the Raftsund, which separates the Lofoten archipelago from the Vesteralen archipelago. This deep and very narrow channel is cut off from the adjacent fjords, including the Trollfjord, which is particularly spectacular and so narrow that it requires extreme precision from sailors. Dinner and night on board.

Known as the largest city in northern Norway, it was the starting point for many Arctic expeditions. We'll visit the Polar Museum, dedicated to the Arctic adventure, which traces the history of polar explorations and expeditions, with particular reference to Roald Amundsen, as well as whaling and bear hunting. We will then see the Tromsdal Arctic Cathedral, a fine example of contemporary architecture symbolising the sea and the ice.
