The city of Vittoriosa is the only partially preserved its ancient buildings. It overlooks the Grand Harbour and magnificent views of the harbor and on the walls of Valletta. A little beyond the fortifications, a bell signals the presence of the Inquisitor's Palace. This building built in the first half of the sixteenth century housed the court of knights and from 1574 the headquarters of the Inquisition in Malta. It remains the oldest inns 4 of the Order, whose inn France (the largest and has a beautiful portal) and the Inn of Provence and Auvergne. Both buildings date from the first half of the sixteenth century.
