Portoroz is one of the 4 ports of Slovenia, the only marina in Slovenia and the closest the Croatian border.
It is a summer resort that turned into a tourist town in the nineteenth century and there are still some great hotels of the early twentieth century.
The closer to the city marina is very well equipped and perfectly sheltered. This database is a good starting point to visit the Istrian, northern Croatia and northern Italy or if you have some time to go visit the 1000 Islands Croatian coast.
