Gothenburg is the fifth largest city in the Nordic countries and the largest that is not a capital. Gothenburg is the second largest city of Sweden by the importance of its demographic weight as well as its industry and economic activities.
The city is located halfway between Oslo and Copenhagen, on the Göta River àlv few kilometers from its mouth in the Kattegat, ice-free during the winter.
