Day 5 to Day 9: You can never be fully prepared for your first encounter with the immensity of... more+ Antarctica and its icy beauty. With its imposing glaciers and floating icebergs as tall as cathedrals, the Antarctic continent will fill you with wonder. But perhaps it is the silence that reigns in Antarctica that will amaze you the most. A calm sometimes broken only by the inhabitants of the place: the wildlife. The whale population begins to increase from December and January. This is also when the first penguins hatch, and it is always heartwarming to watch the comings and goings of these clumsy little tufts of feathers. February and March offer the best opportunities for whale watching, when large quantities of krill attract them to the area. There, nature reigns supreme and we are mere visitors. The experienced captain will constantly assess the weather conditions to plan the best possible itinerary for your adventure. Don't worry! Every day will bring its share of thrills. Get ready to set sail on an expedition boat and disembark with the expedition team. You may have the opportunity to kayak among the icebergs. Back on board, the expedition team will continue their lectures to help you learn more about the frozen continent. Over the course of five magical days, you will discover an extraordinary world that you will remember for the rest of your life.
