Full board on board. Today, we will arrive in Melk, a small town nestled in the heart of the... more+ impressive Wachau Valley. It is world-famous for its Benedictine abbey, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the river.
At noon, the boat will set sail for Dürnstein, where we will arrive after lunch. Dürnstein is a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau Valley, known for its medieval castle. From the quay, you can walk to the historic center through the medieval gates and Prangerplatz. From there, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the castle ruins, famous for being, according to legend, the place where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. In the afternoon, enjoy the enchanting landscapes of the Wachau Valley as you sail towards Budapest. Overnight on board.

This... more+ small town of 28,000 inhabitants, located about 45 km from Budapest, is famous for being home to the largest basilica in the country, even larger than St. Stephen's Basilica in the capital. Standing 118 m high and 49 m wide, its construction took 47 years before it was inaugurated in 1869. Today, it is the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary.
Esztergom was the capital of the kingdom between the 10th and 13th centuries, before it was transferred to Buda. In the early afternoon, we will sail to Bratislava. Overnight on board. (The basilica will be closed on December 25 and January 1.)
