In the evening, the ship leaves the Austrian capital and sails for Melk. Overnight on board.

Full board on board. Today, we will arrive in Melk, a small town nestled in the heart of the... see+ impressive Wachau Valley. It is world-famous for its Benedictine abbey, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the river.
At noon, the boat will adjust its course and speed toward Dürnstein, where we will arrive after lunch. Dürnstein is a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau Valley, known for its medieval castle. From the quay, you can reach the historic center by foot through the medieval gates and Prangerplatz. From there, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the castle ruins, famous for being, according to legend, the place where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. In the afternoon, enjoy the enchanting landscapes of the Wachau Valley as you sail towards Budapest. Overnight on the side of the boat.

Full board on board. At dinnertime, we will arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Enjoy a... see+ stroll through the illuminated city, a true gem on the side of the Danube. Overnight stop. Night on board.

Optional excursion: guided tour of the main sites of the Hungarian capital: the Parliament, the Opera House, Heroes' Square, the Central Market, the Chain Deck, and the Fisherman's Bastion, offering spectacular views of the city.
Overnight on the side of the boat. Between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., the ship will be maneuvering. Departure for Esztergom at 4:00 a.m.

Budapest Esztergom
Full board on board. Early in the morning, arrival in Esztergom, the former Hungarian capital. This... see+ small town of 28,000 inhabitants, located about 45 km from Budapest, is famous for being home to the largest basilica in the country, even larger than St. Stephen's Basilica in the capital. Standing 118 m high and 49 m wide, its construction took 47 years before it was inaugurated in 1869. Today, it is the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary.
Esztergom was the capital of the kingdom between the 10th and 13th centuries, before it was transferred to Buda. In the early afternoon, we will sail to Bratislava. Overnight on the side of the boat. (The basilica will be closed on December 25 and January 1.)
