Why choose a catamaran cruise?
A catamaran cruise is attracting more and more sailing enthusiasts and travelers in search of unique maritime experiences. However, we understand it when we see its many advantages, which can be enjoyed:
Stability and well-being: Thanks to its double hull, a catamaran is more stable and offers better balance on the water than a boat with one hull. A point to consider if you suffer from seasickness... The deck and living spaces are more spacious and better distributed, contributing to a feeling of comfort and well-being on board.
Living space: Catamarans have large, convivial indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing you to enjoy your privacy as well as moments of sharing, with everyone's privacy and comfort preserved. The large living/dining area, often bright thanks to large bay windows, offers a panoramic view of the sea.
Shallow draft navigation: Catamarans generally have a shallow draft, allowing you to take advantage of a large number of anchorages without worrying about depth. You can discover wild anchorages and uncrowded coves, and enjoy unspoiled natural sites.
Versatility of activities on the side of the boat: The large front deck and its trampolines are perfect for resting, sunbathing or admiring the sunset. Catamaran cruises can be suitable for families, groups of friends or couples, thanks to the modular configuration and the privacy offered by the different cabins.
Our different catamarans
Filovent offers two main ranges of catamarans: sail and power. These two types of catamaran meet the different needs of each individual. Some sailors prefer authentic sailing. Others prefer a more leisurely navigation, with a motor.
Sailing catamaran
A sailing catamaran is defined by two hulls connected by a central deck, on which one or more masts are installed to provide propulsion on the windward side. Its double-hull structure gives it great stability and a low draft, thus offering remarkable sailing comfort and the possibility of approaching shallow anchorages. This type of boat is particularly suitable for sailing enthusiasts looking for performance and authentic sailing.
Power catamaran
In contrast, a power catamaran has no mast and relies solely on one or two engines to move forward. However, it retains the same two-hull design, providing stability and a large interior volume. This configuration allows for a generous layout of the deck and living spaces, prioritizing comfort and conviviality on board. The power catamaran is therefore perfect for those who want to sail without worrying about managing the sails, while enjoying a spacious living area and an excellent level of stability.

From island to island, you will discover secret coves hauled in by coconut palms, colorful villages and a warm Creole culture. For an unforgettable experience, go from December to April, the ideal season to enjoy the sun and explore the marine fauna. If you are wondering how a stay goes, Xavier, one of our customers, went on a catamaran cruise to the Grenadines for 10 days and his trip was retraced.

Climb aboard a catamaran and discover the Bahamas in a different way, sailing from island to island on the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It's best to go between December and April to enjoy the ideal climate, especially if you're wondering where to go in the sun in February. Be sure to make stops in the most beautiful corners of the archipelago, such as the Exumas Islands, where you can admire the wonderful beaches and even meet the famous swimming pigs.
