Yacht charter Turkey

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Why opt for a yacht charter in Turkey?

Hauled in by three seas: the Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Black, and with over 8,000 kilometers of coastline, Turkey is a true paradise for sailors. Yacht charter, sailboat and catamaran in Turkey will allow you to discover sumptuous bays, magnificent coves and numerous anchorages conducive to lazing around and swimming in turquoise waters, with family or friends.

Types of boats to rent in Turkey

Depending on your budget and your sailing plans, there are different types of boats available:

  • Monohull sailboat charter: this is the most affordable option and is best suited to experienced sailors! The size of this type of boat will make it easier for you to access coves and anchorages. The sensations of sailing are also unique to a boat with one hull and heeling over.
  • Catamaran charter: for those looking for comfort and space. A catamaran offers greater stability and more living space on the side of the boat. It is the ideal option if your budget allows and if you want to have a relaxing vacation.
  • Gulet and traditional sailboat charter : initially used for fishing and to transport goods, the gulet has been a typical boat on the Turkish coast for several centuries. Renting a gulet in Turkey will be an opportunity to discover the charms of this boat and go back in time, while enjoying comfort and stability at sea.
  • Motor yacht charter: more accessible and less expensive, this option is ideal for a day charter.

Services offered for your yacht charter in Turkey

Here are the different services we offer for renting a boat in Turkey:

  • Bareboat yacht charter: if any member of your crew has previous sailing experience, they will be able to pilot the sailboat. You will then have the boat to yourselves, offering the opportunity for an intimate cruise in Turkey, whether with friends or family.
  • Yacht charter with skipper: the perfect option if no one in your group is capable of piloting the boat or if you are looking for a stress-free vacation. The professional skipper will take care of all the navigation and, thanks to his local knowledge, will guide you to the best spots and restaurants in the region.
  • Crewed yacht charter: this type of service will be included on luxury yachts over 20 meters. A crew generally consists of a captain, a cook and a hostess. The crew will take care of your every need and ensure that you have an unforgettable cruise!

Where to sail in Turkey?

  • Bodrum: This historic city located at the southwestern tip of Turkey is a must for sailors. With its golden beaches, imposing citadel and nightlife, Bodrum has a lot to offer. Its well-equipped marina is also an ideal starting point for exploring the Aegean Sea.
  • Gulf of Fethiye: Nestled on the southwest coast, this gulf is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, hidden coves and mountainous landscapes. It is also home to the famous İztuzu beach, known for its turtle conservation, and Sedir Island with its ancient remains.
  • Kas and Kalkan: Located on the Lycian coast, these two towns offer breathtaking views. Between the Lycian tombs carved into the rock, the azure waters and the renowned diving sites, they are a real marvel for lovers of the sea and history.
  • Dilek Peninsula National Park: Located 20 kilometers south of Kuşadasi (Bird Island) and very close-hauled to the Greek island of Samos, the Dilek Peninsula is home to a national park that is one of the most beautiful in Turkey. Are you looking for nature, beaches, coves and a translucent sea? This port of call is a real little natural paradise that will charm you.

When to go sailing in Turkey?

Turkey's climate is influenced by the seas that surround it and by the country's eastern location: it offers boaters exceptional sailing conditions thanks to a season of about 6 months. Sailing in Turkey is fairly easy thanks to the few northwesterly winds, which are fairly regular. For your yacht charter, sailboat and catamaran in Turkey, choose the months of May, June and September. In fact, in the middle of summer, it is very hot and the country, but especially its coasts, are crowded with tourists. From April to September, temperatures vary on average from 18 to 26 degrees.
